We bid farewell to Ginny today. Ginny our beloved Singapura cat that loves to sit on human laps has crossed the rainbow bridge today. She was one of the smaller cat into cafe and often mistaken as a kitten. Her gentle demeanour couple with her likes for sitting on human laps made her a well liked cat among regulars visiting our cafe.

Ginny suffered from chronic kidney diseases - an incurable diseases and often the cause of death for many cats.

Run free now Ginny. May you feast on plenty of ciao and chicken over the other side.

Good morning! I can smell the weekend! What is your weekend’s plan?

It’s official Brownie and Pudding have retired! They now live in a forever home. Pudding had been with us since 2014 while Brownie joined the cafe in 2016. After working for 10 years and 8 years, it is time for them to take a break from cafe work and live happily in their forever home.

They are adopted by a lovely couple that fell in love with them in 2021 when they held their ROM in our cafe.

We visited a shelter today to meet our future fur babies as we would be retiring a couple of our cats this year. They had worked long and hard with us for the last 10 years and would be going to a permanent home.

Our cats are generally not for adoption except to close friends, crews and family. When we started the cafe we did intend to for the cafe to be just a temporary place for the cats. However, the cost of getting a cat to enter a licensed pet cafe is closer to 400-500 dollars. Most adopters wouldn’t pay 400 dollars to adopt a ‘local’ cat. Soon these cafe cats became our family and we would only entrust them to people we can really trust.

Hence these cats that we adopt for the cafe became permanent resident of the cafe. They work daily as cat ambassador show casing that local cats are a beauty too.

Why don’t we have pedigree cats in our cafe ?
We love cats pedigree or not. Even pedigree cats can get abandoned. When choosing a cat for our cafe, we generally choose older cats and cats that have a lesser chance of being in a home. Pedigree cats and baby cats have higher probability of being adopted than grown adult cats.

Are adults cats less fun? Yes they might be less playful (if they are really older cats). But generally cats below 9 years old still behave like little kids and chase over laser pointer any time of the day.

Ps head over to our local cat shelter to adopt instead of shop. Most of these cats in this post are available for adoption. There are also 5 kittens including 1 pedigree looking cat. To visit kindly contact .
