Swelling in wrist due to severed tendons. Photo taken on 8th Day after incident. For past 7 days, wrist was sutured and splinted in flexion (as shown) with orthoban padding which contributed to swelling and discomfort. Feedback was received that hand felt very hot at nights. To relief heat, reduce pain, and encourage faster recovery, EDF taping is started on Day 8th. Once the wound closes and the dressings removed, on next medical appointment 16th Day, EDF taping will be done around (not on) sutured areas.
