On Thursday, 29 August, we will be celebrating Teachersβ Day, and we are delighted to know that many of you are planning to visit your former teachers. Thank you for remembering and honouring your primary school teachers!Β
If you plan to visit, we kindly request that you do so between 10:45 and 11:45 am. Please enter the school through Gate A, near the security post, and proceed directly to the Indoor Sports Hall (ISH). πΈπ¬ A Thrilling Celebration of Singapore's 59th birthday Primary! πππ
From Monday 5th August 2024, an array of activities left everyone buzzing with excitement.
Our library transformed into a vibrant hub with immersive experiences for our students, as they journeyed through Singaporeβs rich history unique corners & stations. One example is the Singapore Snapshot, where students were captivated by engaging videos detailing Singaporeβs storied past.
The excitement hit a crescendo yesterday when we had the pleasure of having some students and staff from Rainbow Centre Admiral Hill School join us for our National Day Celebration. The specially crafted dance video from our Rainbow Centre friends was met with enthusiastic applause.
The school leaders exchanged tokens, as we welcome Rainbow Centre Admiral Hill School into our community. A heartwarming moment, and very fitting to the theme for this year's celebrations, πΈπ¬ "Together, As One United People" πΈπ¬ π
πβ¨ This Saturday, our amazing Endeavour Brownies Girl Guides took to the library to champion recycling and environmental stewardship! They engaged with the community, sharing tips and inspiring others to make a difference.

22 July, π Rainbow Day 3-cum-Racial Harmony Day concert by our Primary 2 students.
Everyone came dressed for the occasion. The P2 students put up a wonderful show, with a tapestry of dances from the different ethnic groups. The theme this year, 'Singapore: Our Multicultural Mosaic', puts the emphasis on the rich diversity that makes up our multicultural society. This diversity contributes to our shared sense of harmony and cohesion.
Our Drama Club students squealed in glee on this humorous musical adventure with the three intelligent little pigs as they outwit the big bad wolf. Through this adapted classic fairy tale, they learn how success can be achieved through hard work and perseverance. What a delightful afternoon spent at KC Arts Centre!
A day to remember for Endeavour Primary Chinese Dance CCA as we were invited to perform at the Istana Open House 2024 today. The girls were excited and looking forward to this day.
We had awesome support from the visitors who came to the Istana. Definitely a moment to cherish for the girls in the Chinese Dance CCA.

Events and activities leading up to 21July, Racial Harmony Day...
Did you manage to join us for some of these activities? Come and join us @ the library on Monday if you didn't manage to last week.
Do you know why we are having these activities and why this special day is commemorated in schools?
As we enjoy Singapore's unique diversity of festivals, food and games, we are reminded not to take today's peace and harmony for granted. While we embrace our own cultural roots, we also need to respect one another and appreciate that this diversity is the result of these differences in the cultures of our different communities.

Our dancers from the Malay Dance and Chinese Dance group collaborated with Northoaks Primary to perform a dance item to the hip-hop genre.
The finale was the performance from all N2 Cluster Schools dancing their way to the song Permission to Dance.

What a fantastic way to start the school holiday!
Endeavour Primary School Choir and Northoaks Primary School Choir had a combined Cluster Choir Camp on 27 & 28 May 2024 at Endeavour Primary School.

π **Writing The Virtue Glyphs!** π
We spotlighted five Chinese characters, each a starburst of moral luminescence:
1. **εΎ· (Virtue)**: The ultimate moral compass. A halo spun from noble deeds. π
2. **ε¦ (Learning)**: Knowledge is power. Pathways to enlightenment! ππ₯
3. **ε (Filial Piety)**: A dance of respect, twirling through generations. It's a way of life.ππ΅π΄
4. **δ» (Benevolence)**: Hearts aflame, spread kindness like confetti! π
5. **δΏ‘ (Trust)**: A bridge woven across time β these characters have each other's back. π€π―
ποΈ **Bamboo Scrolls: Whispers of Eternity!** ποΈ
With new understanding, our students learned how these glyphs are etched on bamboo slips β the writing system that dates back thousands of years!
P4 malay pupils were given the opportunity to learn about traditional Malay musical instruments π΅, specifically the gamelan, which has been practiced and played since the era of the Malay Sultanate.
Gamelan is a traditional ensemble music from Java and Bali in Indonesia, composed predominantly of percussive instruments. The instruments in a gamelan ensemble are tuned to complement each other, creating a rich and harmonious sound. The music is typically performed at ceremonies, rituals, and cultural events. By being exposed to gamelan during P4 cultural camp, pupils have the opportunity to connect with this historical art form, understand its cultural significance, and appreciate the traditional practices of the Malay community.
π Endeavour Primary School is proud to collaborate with the Central Narcotics Bureau for a meaningful assembly talk in commemoration of Drug Victims Remembrance Day on 17 May. π

Primary 5 Camp Resilience Campfire was on Thursday, 9th of May 2024. The campfire is usually the highlight of every camp. It is a day for the students to show their talents and abilities and put up performances and enjoy themselves at the same time.
The students also did not hold themselves back. Instead, they were enthusiastic to show off their talents and abilities and performed for the audiences.
The campfire was lighted by our GOH, Mr Thomas Koh, Principal of Endeavour Primary School. Together with our Vice Principal, Ms Fauziah, and other teachers and staff from the school, they graced the campfire with their presence. Thank you for your presence and for putting aside your busy schedule to be with us at this very remote location. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery (KAHG), which opened in 2019, showcases the different aspects of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Chinese community in Singapore. There was a concentration of teahouses, opera theatres and various cultural forms (e.g. Nanyin music, Chinese puppetry & calligraphy) in the 19th & 20th centuries in Kreta Ayer.
Today, it is considered the cultural heartland of Chinatown. Our Primary 4 students learn how the Chinese community has contributed to the development of Singapore on their recent visit to Kreta Ayer.
