We’re catching up after a long time and I get a lil confused and thought these were for her pre-wedding shoot (cause quite suitable dontyouthink?) but pre-wedding shoot is next month! These were for her fiancé’s bday that was coming up. Which she told him she deserves to look good heehee 💕

She had planned to come every month before the wedding to try out different nails, but life and wedding preparation got overwhelming. Who can relate??

My wedding was 10 years ago, and I never did nails prior to that so I can’t 🤭

Grandfather liked bok choy, so we drew her one, added a face and made it dimensional. It’s very personal and a pleasure of mine as a nail artist if I can create a set that is meaningful for you 🤍🤍

My nail journey started late 2019 and my salon opened mid 2020. 4 years down and thousands of sets later here I am with cuticle care🖤

I’ve made mistakes for sure (never on purpose, bless those who have been patient with my growth) as I learnt different skin types and evolved in how I approach this step

My appointments usually last between 1.5-2hours, a lil more give and take depending if there is nail art, if there is removal, if the customer sits still or we +therapy service :p

My background in interior design definitely made me somewhat more particular in detail and a good base really makes the application step easier

Learning and also working with my mentor , and colleagues who are just as particular helps aspire and pushes you further

WAS I EXCITED OR TOO EXCITED when she wanted to do 3D? I am also praying that her 🐝 survives as long as possible hehe. Loved this opportunity to create some 3dimensional cute garden bugs. Her bee makes me smile

But what do you call a 🐞? I realised I call it ‘ladybird’, but apparently the correct way is lady beetle. Says Google!

I love how with each client you’ll see that they are inspired with different kinds of nail art each visit. They can be soft and pastel-y one month, go simple, go cute then go, Ani today we’re going to do a portrait of my cat. ?!
