Flame of the Forest, a remarkable fusion band from Singapore that CausewayEXchange has taken across Malaysia—from Penang and Ipoh to KL, JB, Sarawak, and Sabah—is gearing up to present their latest creation, "PUPA." They stand out as one of my favorite bands in Singapore, and if you have a moment, consider showing them some love by supporting our talented local musicians.

Brief synopsis:
Drawing parallels from nature’s state of being in a PUPA, this production illustrates a fictional story of self realisation & choice of help through a multi media performance comprising of Music 🎼, Visual Arts 🎨🎭, Set Design 🪑& Storytelling 📖.
Through shared experience, Flame of the Forest aims to inspire collective acknowledgment of empathy and kindness. "PUPA" is a call to recognise the profound power we possess in contributing to the positive metamorphosis of others.

Attended Yip Yew Chong's captivating exhibition, "I Paint my Singapore," This monumental work, meticulously crafted with profound love for Singapore, beckons viewers into a world of poignant details.
My visit revealed a vibrant atmosphere, teeming with delighted visitors. Parents shared cherished memories with their children, reminiscing about a bygone era. Strangers found themselves engrossed in conversations, passionately waxing lyrical about their own Singapore experiences.
Having the opportunity to briefly converse with the artist himself, Yip Yew Chong, provided deeper insights into the inspiration behind this moving masterpiece. We extend heartfelt gratitude to Yip Yew Chong for painting not just his Singapore, but resonating with the shared experiences of many.
On a nostalgic note, we fondly recall our collaboration with Yip Yew Chong during CausewayEXchange in 2017, where we brought him to Ipoh. There, he left an indelible mark with the first-ever mural he painted in Malaysia, showcasing his talent beyond borders. A journey of art that bridges cities and hearts.

The audience were treated to a very different kind of Comedy. showko started her set with stand up comedy to warm the crowd up. She showed off her amazing ventriloquism skills, did storytelling with her puppets and educated the audience on what Rakugo (Japanese sit down comedy) was.

Showko takes you on a hilarious ride from everyday life into her surreal world through Rakugo (Japanese sit-down comedy) and ventriloquism with her quirky handmade puppets. Expect to roll on the floor like sushi and laugh! Hugely entertaining and wonderfully offbeat.
Armed with a sharp wit, a keen sense of kookiness and an adorable collection of hand-made puppets it’s no wonder Showko was a finalist on Australia’s Got Talent and has her own special on Amazon Prime Video (US & UK).

We were invited to attended the Preview of Universe of Feelings, helmed by the young and energetic cast and crew of Republic Polytechnic School of Technology for the Arts.
In the past years CEX had work along side RP to bring these meaningful sensory productions over to Malaysia which targeting people of special needs. The feedback from parents of our audience have always been very promising.
We are happy to see that RP has pushed forward in continuing their good work in producing their yearly sensory shows and look forward to being able to bring these sensory shows to Malaysia once again really soon.

We had an awesome time with Let's Laugh Malaysia! So glad to be able to bring some laughs to Malaysian's who are in Malaysia and especially to those who are abroad and Missing home. We had people log in from Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Melborne, Netherlands, USA and even Switzerland.
We are grateful for the support of Maybank, as well as High Commission of Malaysia, Singapore & Malaysian Association in Singapore - MASIS
But the stars of the shows are the comedians, whom we know work extra hard as Virtual Comedy is probably one of the hardest thing any comedian could do.
So kudos to Sam See, Rizal van Geyzel, Gajen Nad, Kuah Jenhan and Prakash Daniel Comedy
