I myself have wrestled with these emotions on a daily basis which only seem to add to my struggle.

In school they taught us what to think, but not HOW to think. How to deal with our internal experiences that shape our perspective and the decisions we make as a result.
Tomorrow we are starting the new year learning with a bang!
We will challenge one another to release the limiting beliefs and thought patterns that no longer serve us, so that we can begin CHOOSING our own story and the mindset through which we want to experience our day to day this year.

Last Saturday, we had our TRI-Factor Cycle Right clinic for kids aged 5 and above at the all-new Timbre East at Singapore Expo. The purpose of this clinic is to equip children with the right techniques, improve their bike handling and also build their confidence.
We will be launching more of these soon!

Looking back now, I can see how I spent the better part of my life wrestling with resistance in the way that I thought, and felt about myself- which honestly created a lot of insecurity as I seriously lacked clarity in who I was and what I was supposed to be doing.
I thank God everyday for this practice which gives me an opportunity to not only question thoughts that don't align with my being, but to also CHOOSE MY OWN BELIEFS about them- which incidentally enough is where it all starts- our beliefs.
But we never had a class that explained this to us in school, so I hope you'll join our practice together as a community this Wednesday as we take more ownership of how we think, and who we choose to believe we authentically are.

WE ALL FEEL RESISTANCE.
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US.
Resistance from this pandemic, our culture, our circumstances, to the resistance in ourselves from our desires to our habits.
I often relate most to the resistance I feel towards my self-judgemental thoughts.
There seems to be A LOT of resistance in my journey towards peace.
But that's NOT a bad thing.
So many of us have been led to believe that resistance is somehow something to be avoided, or feel negatively towards.
But as written the the book "War of Art", " Resistance is closest to the finish line".
In ANY KIND OF PERSONAL GROWTH OR FLOURISHING, you can be confident, that RESISTANCE WILL BE THERE.
But Resistance is not something we should be running away from.
Rather, it is something that ultimately lies before any great venture of the soul.
A pathway to strength, understanding, and contentment.
With practice through resistance, we can learn to become aware of it and become familiar with it.
And when we learn how to dance with resistance,
THEN NOTHING EVER REALLY STOPS US.

All throughout life, we are constantly making changes to how we see and do things- micro evolutions and edits of ourselves on a daily basis... It stands to say then, that failure is a natural and vital part of this process.
Then why do we struggle so much with our own failures?
Perhaps it is not the mistakes we make, but the judgements of our missteps that cause our suffering.
What if we learned to see those missteps in a different way? With more curiosity, patience, and understanding?
Could we then learn the value in our missteps for the lessons they have to teach as we learn to step into the challenge with more power and confidence?
Only one way to find out!

Resisting the wave of emotions can be very challenging and can almost seem like we're swept away in that wave with no Self-control.
The good news is that we have the intrinsic strengths to surf that wave so that we become more equipped to step into our challenges and respond to stress with more composure and ease!
These strengths are readily available to us...
All we must do is exercise them.
