Earlier this week, we shared about the eligibility and streams for the Global Talent Independent (GTI) program. You must be wondering about the application process, fret not, we are here to help.
As part of the application, you will need to be endorsed by a nominator who has a national reputation in the same field as you and is either:
- an eligible Australian citizen or permanent resident
- eligible New Zealand citizen
- an Australian organisation with a national reputation in relation to your area of talent.

You will then lodge for an Expression of Interest (EOI) for consideration under the Global Talent Independent Program. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will be provided with a unique identifier number (UIN) which provides priority processing, which also means that you are now invited to apply for the visa. You will be given 60 days to make the application. The processing times will vary for both streams.

Earlier this week, we shared about Australia’s most popular visa application pathway for skilled workers - The General Skilled Migration program. The entire application is rather simple.
1. Upon meeting a minimum point score of 65 in the points based system and confirming that your occupation is indeed included under the list of skilled occupations, you are eligible to apply.
2. An Expression of Interest (EOI) must be submitted, prior to being invited to apply for the visa.

Employer Nomination Scheme Visa (Subclass 186) requires you to complete a skills test and be nominated by an approved Australian employer. Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa is a temporary visa which permits the holder to live in Australia, while working full-time for the sponsoring employer, in the nominated position. You may include dependents in your application.

It comes with two streams: (1) short-term stream and (2)medium-term stream. Applicants with occupations on the Short-Term Skilled Occupations List (STSOL) are eligible for visas of up to two years (renewable once, for a further two years), whilst those on the Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) can apply for up to four years, with eligibility for permanent residency after three years.
