Completed a second organ playing workshop for the organists at the Church of St Teresa, Singapore on the Allen GX335. We covered registration, psalm accompaniment, interludes, introductions and endings, accompanying lively hymns, and a host of other topics!
On-site service call this afternoon, and the organ is playing beautifully again. This church in the north, although of a modern design, has a wonderful acoustic which allows the organ to truly sing. Wishing one and all a blessed Holy Week ahead!
Servicing and testing this lovely Allen Bravura QL-225 and getting it ready for the peak liturgical season of the year!

Testing Bedok Lutheran Church’s new Allen 50/III GX335 organ in the season of Advent with this hymn Lo He Comes With Clouds Descending (HELMSLEY).
Testing a newly-installed 50/III GX335 at the Bedok Lutheran Church with the hymn tune Lobe den Herren, also known as Praise to the Lord, the Almighty. With six GeniSys voice stops, organists have the flexibility to add stops of various timbres and types to each division. One such example is by expanding the Great with a brighter Mixture at the top and a 16' Reed at the bottom, or by adding a second Principal to the organo pleno.

Allen Organs Singapore is proud to have completed the installation of a beautiful III/38 G-330 for an organist in Malaysia. The solid-wood walnut console is finished to Allen’s world-class standards, with thumb pistons and toe studs as standard registration aids. We’ve just installed Singapore’s first nine-channel Allen Apex GX-335 in the beautiful Church of Saint Teresa in Singapore, and it sounds fabulous in the naturally-reverberant space:

Allen Organs Singapore has its roots in a company set up in 1970 selling pianos and electronic church organs. Known then as Singapore Piano, it was one of the largest music instrument stores in the country, representing world-class brands such as Ibach and Kawai pianos and Allen organs.
When the elder Mr. Chiu passed on, his son, Lu Piao, helmed the business under the name The Piano Connection, growing the already-sizeable fleet of pianos and organs across Singapore and the region. In more recent years, the company divested its piano division, although it continues to maintain its current fleet with tuning and repair services carried out by world-class Steinway-accredited technicians.
Into its third generation now, the company is focused on the growing interest in pipe organs among the current generation of musicians, designing and installing digital pipe organs for schools, churches, performance venues, and private homes.
With nearly one hundred installations in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei, Allen Organs Singapore is one of the largest distributors of quality church and classical organs in Southeast Asia today.
