- side release buckle for chest straps / numb hand and fingers during the race make it difficult to fiddle around with small buckles
- zippered pockets on the chest / cycling through rough terrain causes a lot of rattling which may result in thing unexpectedly fallong out from your pockets
- hydration bladder attachement and port with a magnetic hose attachment on shoulder
- roll top closure for extended water repellency

Jess: “We went for a night ice skate on the lake to one of the many iceberg caves. These icebergs are calved off of Valdez Glacier and into the lake. The lake had been snow covered but we got a lot of strong winds in the last two weeks which exposed just enough ice to be able to skate out to the caves without too much walking through snow. It was extremely windy so we sheltered in the cave, took few photos and then skated back to the car. We could pretty much tack the whole way back by opening our arms out like sails. It was a very fun night."
