Waves Bratislava – Music Festival & Conference Waves Bratislava is the music, club and showcase festival plus a music conference.
It is the sister event of the Waves Vienna festival, which takes place annually in the nearby Austrian capital since 2011. Its primary target group is beside the general public professional community and the music sector. The future aim of both events is to create a twin city festival, which represents its focus on the region of Central and Eastern Europe. The objective of our effort is to help ma
king the local and regional music scenes more visible and professional. Besides creating more room for the live presentation of music, the main tool for achieving this goal is the music conference, which is a platform for discussions, lectures and networking. A significant part of the conference is the presence of prominent delegates from the European music industry. The long term mission of Waves Festival, in conjunction with kindred events, is to help a wider dissemination of European music repertoire.

Waves Bratislava je nový medzinárodný klubový a showcasový festival s hudobnou konferenciou. Je sesterským podujatím festivalu Waves Vienna, ktorý sa od roku 2011 koná v blízkej metropole Rakúska. Jeho cieľovou skupinou je popri širokej verejnosti predovšetkým profesionálna komunita a hudobná brandža. Zámerom oboch podujatí je vytvoriť v budúcnosti spoločný "twin city festival", ktorý by už svojou geografickou polohou a spojením miest Bratislava a Viedeň symbolizoval svoju orientáciu na strednú a východnú Európu. Cieľom tohto úsilia je napomôcť zviditeľneniu a profesionalizácii lokálnych a regionálnych hudobných scén. Okrem poskytnutia priestoru pre samotnú živú prezentáciu hudby v rámci množstva klubových koncertov je hlavným nástrojom na dosiahnutie tohto cieľa hudobná konferencia, ktorá vytvára priestor pre odborné prednášky, diskusie či networking. Súčasťou konferencie sú tiež významní delegáti z európskeho hudobného biznisu. Poslaním Waves Festivalu je v dlhodobom horizonte napomáhať, spoločne s existujúcimi podujatiami podobného typu, k väčšiemu rozšíreniu európskeho hudobného repertoáru.
