Corruption! Corruption! A terrorizing network.

Yet we aren't tired of drinking it's deadly poison.
Yes there is light behind the walls of corruption.
Together in corruption daily, we upgrade our membership.

What is the dream of nation full of corruption in the next decades?
While integrity, justice, patriotism continues to decay.
Yet many intellectuals, educated fools engage in it for their own selfish gain.

Even as we struggle to lay-hold on the walls of our goal,
Corruption keep eating up every best day and night.
Yet expected ones bowing low subjecting to its might.

Subject themselves to this elusive system of corruption claiming to have no choice.
I say yes! You have a choice.
A choice to report, reject it's mutilating act.
It's not mutiny one standing for positivity.
No matter the spread of this beast, your no, my no, our no, could summon it to defeat.
We all must say no to corruption.
Rise on your feet and say not to its defeat.
Patriotism, honesty, and integrity is the key.
Let us rise in unity , for a better nation we want to see.
And corruption is what we must resist.

*SIERRA LEONEAN INTENTIONAL MODEL UNITED NATIONS SCHOOL CHAPTER*

On 12th of March 2023, Sierra Leone International Model United Nations in Collaboration with the Star International high School successfully hosted an interclass debate competition on the topic: *INFORMAL EDUCATION IS MORE PREFERABLE TO FORMAL EDUCATION IN SIERRA LEONE.*

The event aim at shaping the public speaking skills of pupils and exposing them to the benefits of participating in debates such as;
Gaining broad, multi-faceted knowledge cutting across several disciplines outside the learner’s normal academic subjects.
Increasing learners’ confidence, poise, and self-esteem.
Providing an engaging, active, learner-centered activity.
Improving rigorous higher-order and critical thinking skills.
Enhancing the ability to structure and organize thoughts.
Enhancing learners’ analytical, research and note-taking skills
Improving learners’ ability to form balanced, informed arguments and to use reasoning and evidence.
Developing effective speech composition and delivery and encouraging teamwork.

The Sierra Leone International Model United Nations in its mandate which tend to promote, motivate and empower pupils to enhance good and quality education engineered the happing of this event.

The event was a success and we put a smile on the face of the children and their parents.

The Organization will continue to vividly stretch out its arm to empower , encourage and promote quality education which is the goal 4 of the seventeen sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

A very big thank you to the national secretariat in providing such platform and also to the administration of Star International High School for embracing the initiative and effectively participating to ensure its success.

AT NATIONAL YOUTH DIALOGUE FORUM ORGANISED BY THE SIERRA LEONE INTERNATIONAL MODEL UNITED NATIONS AT FBC NEW HALL ON THE THEME: STRENGTHENING GOOD GOVERNANCE IN COMMUNITY AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH YOUTH ENGAGEMENT. WE THANK GOD IT WAS SUCCESSFUL.

It is incumbent on the youth to take active role in their nation's sustainable development , but this becomes even more tough if platforms like this are not given to youth in order to shape or mould there leadership prowess , as conscientious and valiant youth in any nation ought to see development within their spheres of engagement. Loving your country as a youth , is to stand for peace and stability and the well-being of your belove country , changing your mindset ,instilling patriotism and pledging your love and loyalty. Youth today are the elders of tomorrow. It depends the way you maximise positivity today eventually enhance the change you want. Thank God for *YOUTH LEADERSHIP & ADVOCACY* for providing the platform for youth to cultivate and explore leadership prowess, in active participation for national development. Thanks to God for a successful National Youth Leadership summit on the 12th October 2021 at the Sierra Leone house of parliament, it was edifying.

Empowering the youth for a better change is what the SIMUN organisation is focused on because we know that , the youth today are the change for better tomorrow . Another wonderful session of meeting on the 10th July 2021 at the Sierra Leone Muslim Congress Secondary School campus.
