“The Sierra Leone Football Association in partnership with the world governing body for football FIFA will tomorrow Saturday December 9 officially launch the first ever U12 and U14 National Youth Championship at the Koidu Mini Stadium in Kono Town as Golden Soccer FC is set to entertain Shaw United in the U12 and Cosmos FC will lock horns with Soccer Lions FC in the U14 at 2 pm and 4pm respectively, to grace the highly anticipated opening ceremony.

The tournament is aimed at revamping grassroots football which is the lifeblood of the game to encourage mass participation in the sport (no matter the ability or age), stimulate interest in the sport, and provide new opportunities for people of different social backgrounds to play the game.

The history making event will be witnessed by the SLFA Vice President- 1 Harold Nat-Johnson who has consented to take the symbolic kickoff and officially declare the tournament open.

The Sierra Leone Premier League Board writes to bring to the attention of all Premier League Clubs and the General Public that it has decided to annul the initial pronounced fixture for the first week of the 2023/2024 league season. The fixture has been withdrawn due to some technical glitches and we are very sorry for any inconveniences this might have caused.
To give a well-balanced schedule and reignite the ambiance of the 2023/24 league season, producing a full fixture list of 306 games is a painstaking and meticulous process. The Board is pleased to inform all Premier League Clubs and the General Public that having gone through a thorough review, with the aid of a fixture software, the full fixtures for the 2023/24 league season will be published by close of business today 23rd October 2023.
Also, the Board is calling on all Premier League Clubs to send a representative for the training of Safety and Security Officers slated for Friday 27th October, 2023 at the Sierra Leone Football Association. The time for the training is 9am.

I do understand when you guys vent out your frustrations and dissatisfactions whenever our national team performs poorly.

For me Buya is one of our key players in the national team,So we have to tap him on his back when he’s playing good so that he will continue to do more for SL.

When I was at my prime at Inter Milan and Monaco we still had some fans who had different opinions regarding my performance in every match.

But I was loved by many because of my commitment and dedication to represent SL.

From my previous congratulatory message to Leone Stars I received many negative feedback on my comments section about Leone Stars performance.

In my opinion they did well , taking into consideration those were our first friendly matches under the new head coach Amidu Karim.

As fans of football we can’t be negative all the time if our players and team plays well we should appreciate them because whenever they play bad we will be here to bash at them 😆That’s the beauty of the sport .

We should learn to criticize constructively and professionally

We should motivate and not demotivate ourselves 🙌🏾🙏🏽✊🏾❤️🇸🇱

Bo Rangers and Coach Alhaji Abedi Foray part ways on mutual consent. Coach Abedi was appointed as Assistant Coach 2 for the Leone Stars men A Team.

To ensure best preparation and undoubted readiness going into the 2026 FIFA World Cup Africa Qualifiers, the Sierra Leone Football Association with support from the government of Sierra Leone has successfully concluded arrangements for two friendly matches in Casablanca Morocco against Benin and Somalia on the 14th and 17th of October 2023 respectively.

The said friendlies will help the newly appointed technical team (Amidu Karim and team) to better understand and bring into play a formidable squad against Ethiopia and Egypt in the World Cup qualifiers in November this year.

Hello Sierra Leoneans,
I’m grabbing this opportunity to express my feelings on the decision taken by the Sierra Leone Football Association executive members. Initially, SLFA dimmed me fit and beyond all reasonable doubts saw a leader in me. However, our terms and conditions differed. Although we couldnt meet at a juncture, it is important we know it is part of life’s journey to loose some and win some. I’m hopeful next time would be a win for both me and my lovely homeland . I’ve always had the urge to support and to serve my beloved nation in whatever little way that I can especially in the sports arena.

Again, I want to believe every decision that is made is done so in the interest of our country.
However, although I’m disappointed, I’m convinced God has willed it and this would be a prerequisite of much greater things for both me and my beloved country.

Sending the best wishes to the newly selected technical team, Amidu Karim, Francis Zappa Koroma and Alhaji Foray (Abedi) on their appointments and may God guide them right through their tenure in office. Make we put SALONE fos 🙌🏾❤️🇸🇱
