One of our Today’s Events.
Girls Connect Sierra Leone recently joined The Ministry of Gender and Children Affairs, along with other organizations, to commemorate International Women's Day in a meaningful way. The day was filled with a procession from Field Road to the Makeni City Council Hall, where a vital engagement took place. Discussions centered on both the achievements and hurdles surrounding women's rights and their ongoing struggles in contemporary Sierra Leone.
The event served as a platform for reflection and dialogue, emphasizing the importance of amplifying women's voices and addressing the challenges they face. Together, we explored pathways to overcome obstacles and create a more inclusive and equitable society for all. By coming together in solidarity, we reaffirm our commitment to advancing gender equality and empowering women in Sierra Leone and beyond.
