Culled from the 1,000 young people project page

At 1,000 Young People Project we don't only impact people with leadership skills we also inspire them with other young people story
Today we celebrate JUST SAM

Samantha Diaz (born November 23, 1998), known by her stage name Just Sam, is a singer-songwriter from Harlem, New York who rose to fame after winning the eighteenth season of the singing reality show American Idol

Just Sam was born and raised in Harlem, New York. When she was six years old, her grandmother, Elizabeth, adopted Diaz and her sister, Anabelle, after her mother had been incarcerated.[1] She was the topic of a short documentary in 2018 called Sam, Underground, which was shot and produced by Joe Penney and Ladan Osman. In the documentary, she explained that in high school, she was bullied for how she dressed, inspiring her "Just Sam" nickname.

Prior to appearing on American Idol, Just Sam made a living singing in subway trains, and auditioned for America's Got Talent and the American iteration of The Voice, but neither one came to fruition.

Just Sam auditioned for the eighteenth season of the singing reality show American Idol in Washington, D.C. on October 14, 2019. After surviving Hollywood Week and making it into the Top 5, Just Sam received the most votes to win, and on May 17, 2020, Just Sam was crowned the winner of the eighteenth season of American Idol, beating runner-up Arthur Gunn.

In a May 19, 2020 interview with Chuck Arnold of the New York Post, Just Sam stated, "I am a child of God, so that's always gonna come first. That's actually the only label that I ever want to have. But I like what I like, and that's just that, you know? And it's not men. Like, at all.

In a private conversation he told me that he is going for the housemates Salone reality television show and use that platform to continue helping children BUT he made it very clear to me that sick Unisa Ibrahim is his priority right now
Seeing a young guy with many personal issues using his voice and resources to help the needy especially children is beautiful
The money he makes from his personal clothing brand goes to the children of Sierra Leone and he has been doing so without taking photos to attract people of social media and that is what helping means
When he saw my post in February about sick Unisa he launched a Le 50,000 campaign and we were able to raise a fine amount for the sick kid and we put a smile of the sick Kid's face
As i type Abu Alim Tarawallie is fighting hard so that Unisa can be operated on as that is the only solution for the sick kid's health condition
Today i celebrate a humanitarian, singer, writer, social media influencer, student and a contender for the HouseMates Salone 2020
Go get things done brother
God know your intention fr contending

Months back I was walking home when I saw you lying helplessly along a dirty street( peters street off mountain cut)
I then picked you up and lay you on my lap till you regain consciousness

I made many promises to you
I told you I will help you out with all I have to see you well again

Brother Unisa, I am still working on that promise and you know how hard I have tried

When making that promise with tears in my heart I thought of the many good people on Facebook who have been supporting my works
I thought they will see my many post about you and try to see how they can help
Bro, it's unfortunate that none have called or send me a message in relation to your welfare

Anytime I walk pass your area and see you trying to smile like all the other kids i go down
Seeing you try to run like other kids while enduring pain makes me sick
You condition has left me with no option but to be buying you things that other kids have just for you to feel among and play like them

I wish to receive a or message after this post concerning your welfare

Unisa is suffering from asthma, weak bones, heart and kidney complications and needed to be flown overseas for urgent surgery (A doctor's honest advise)
With this pandemic in the world I kept praying to seeing you everyday
Brother keep having faith
God is still on your business

HOW TO MAINTAIN A FIRM BREASTS.
Ladies is your breast starting to sag , and you want it to remain firm?
Boil Uda seed (just the seed , do not boil with the peel) , take this for 7days and your breasts will gradually gain its firm.
THE REASON UDA WATER IS GIVEN TO A WOMAN WHO JUST GAVE BIRTH IS BECAUSE; Uda water helps to flush toxic and foreign substances from the body. So Uda water helps to get her back to her fit. In that case , are you a woman and you experience painful menstruation , boil Uda water and little Garlic , take this three days before your menstrual flow. And you will experience pain free menstrual flow.
After your menstrual flow , take fresh honey mixed with Garlic to to keep your Va**na clean from bacterial. This will keep your Va**na fresh and restore its original fragrance.
As a woman , do you have big tommy and want it to return to its original form? boil Uda water and Ginger , take this daily until you see a desired result.
And for our men , if your husband have big tommy and you want his tommy to return to its original form , since Uda water is not good for the male body (because it can cause watery s***m) So the guy should boil lemon grass and Ginger , take this daily until you see result.
.
Do you experience any sign of fibroid? boil Uda seed and add it enough alligator pepper and drink a full glass three times daily. This is what our great grand mothers used to cure fibroid even when modern day medical operation has not been discovered in Africa.

God bless you.

Press Release
13 May 2020

Sierra Leone children and youth organisations deeply concerned by the Police arbitrary arrest and detention of Child Rights Activist Amb. Hussain Muckson Sesay, and call for his immediate release.
********************************

We have received very worrying reports about the arbitrary arrest and detention by the Sierra Leone Police of a prominent child rights activist Ambassador Hussain Muckson Sesay, a current student of FBC and former Secretary-General of the Children’s Forum Network (CFN) - a child led organisation.

The report is that Muckson was arrested and detained on the 3rd May 2020 because he allegedly shared a message with a picture on social media, taken during police investigation of an unrelated case at the CID. According to his lawyer Mr Melron Nicol-Wilson, Muckson has vehemently denied the allegation. The presumption of innocence is the legal principle that Muckson is considered innocent until proven guilty by a competent court of law.

The Sierra Leone Police have not provided any credible information for Muckson’s arrest and detention to his family, friends or the general public. We note that Muckson has been held in very difficult conditions with little or no food and no medication. Muckson is currently unwell and we are worried about his wellbeing. The continued detention of Muckson without bail is a violation of his human rights and abuse of power by the Sierra Leone Police.

Ambassador Hussain Muckson Sesay is 19 years of age, studying Engineering at Fourah Bay College. He was a dedicated member of the Children’s Forum Network and contributed greatly towards the cause of promoting children’s rights in Sierra Leone. In September 2016, Muckson represented the children of Sierra Leone at the 73rd Session of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child, in Geneva, Switzerland. Muckson is an emerging young leader with huge potential to contribute to the development of Sierra Leone.

It is very unfortunate for the young man to be treated in such an unfair manner. Children and young people from across the country and from different Children and Youths Organisations including associate members of the Children's Forum Network-CFN have expressed serious concerns about Muckson’s safety and well-being amidst this COVID 19 pandemic.

We therefore call on national and international organisations including civil society and human rights organisations to quickly investigate this matter and help secure the immediate release of Amb. Hussain Muckson Sesay.

We urge the Sierra Leone Government to take action and provide support to Muckson. We want Muckson to be admitted to bail, pending further investigation.

Signed

In Sierra Leone today, the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) dominates the political landscape. It controls the presidency, under Julius Maada Bio, and has a slim majority in parliament. Its ability to shape the nation’s politics is secure.

Just over a year and a half ago, however, things looked very different. Following Sierra Leone’s March 2018 elections, power was divided.

The photo below is Unisa the six years old boy suffering from many health complications
Those that have been following me will remember that months back before the corona pandemic hit Sierra Leone I was here and other social media platforms asking people to help this little boy get urgent surgery and help him live a better life

This little boy is suffering from asthma and weak bones, he also have kidney and heart defect.

As I type to you, Unisa is living with no idea of his health status and according to test results he is a living co**se

I met my brotherly friend (Unisa) on my way out and I asked him if he has eaten his reply was 'No', I felt bad and asked again 'What do you want'? He pointed at a table filled with biscuits and sweet, we walked to the table and I told him to choose what he wants, Unisa took the 'Marie biscuit' and gratefully walk to a bench where he sat and happily 'took on his biscuit, lol

I'm narrating all this not because I want the world to know how I have been helping him but because I want the world to stretch it hands to little Unisa
Please let's help him live a better life

I heard his voice
It was loud and clear
In his voice I saw many things
On his face I saw a man that has been pushed to the wall
A man that has lost it and decided to bounce back

I've tagged many time of being a political tool just because I have been addressing issues in the interest of my land but that's it

As we all have heard from the commander in chief
It's time for lawless and stupid fools in the frame and age of a youth to walk on the right path

Any person who incites, plans, supports & undertakes any act of violence would be harshly dealt with using all resources .

If we destroy all the state properties and ignite confusion in sierra leone , where do you think we are going lead? Who shall we lead? Which parliament shall we sit to discuss on national issues? Will you like to see Sierra Leone wallowing in blood? So many people have died during this these riots, critical thinking and dialogue Is needed for a better approach in resolving the current problems

Why not try dialogue? when we dialogue , we understand the reason for a course of action, when we dialogue , we produce better result, , when we dialogue, we resolve the problem, when we dialogue , we get to address the problem from the root , when we dialogue, we work together to bring a long term solution to the problem

What if I was born from a rich family? I would have been there for the masses, not just advocating but rather providing a means of empowerment for self productiveness as well.

What if my dad was still here? He would have been fully there for me, seeing me through my relentless dreams. Truly Felt your absence in every aspects of my life. As you leaved for the journey beyond. Rest easy daddy🙏🏾

What if I can turn back the ends of times? I would not have allow situations to get the best of me, created no room for mistakes or regret.

What if the planned system favored everyone? Regardless of Race, Status, Political background, Tribe, Religion or Region, Certainly there would have been no need to strive towards PEACE, because Unity, Love, Stability etc might have been the other of the day.

What if there where no APC or SLPP (Alussan and Alanssan) Sierra Leone could have been amongst the top and most Successful Countries in the World, considering what have we as a Nation.

What if there are lots of opportunities as promised by our political heads during campaigns? Hmmmmm...., there could have been less political tension, job opportunities, Quality Education, proper Medical, Road and Electricity facilities.

What if Africans go back to their long lost Culture, Values, Customs and Traditional? Paving the room for any negative Western Civilizations. A wind of huge distraction, taking away our bonds as Africans.

What if the World becomes a better place for all? Living no room for Racism, allowing inclusiveness to up hold it actual stands.

What if humans starts to see things beyond there interpretations? Seeing each other as one big family.

What if Africans begin to see reasons to believe and support their own? One of the most richest Continent in the World but yet poorest as well.

What if Corona Virus is just an idea to show WHO is WHO? Does the outcome really worth the intention? Claiming lives of the innocent.
*MAN INHUMANITY TO HUMANITY*

What if people start to believe and support potentials? Save the Youth Foundation would have reached the four coners of Sierra Leone, Leading the Youth to a brighter Future.

What if Sierra Leoneans are not hypocrite? Stop seeing Corruption as Connections when it works in their favor and shouted CORRUPTION when it works against them. Starts to think rationally, beyond petty sentiment, with no emotional attachment to their political parties.

What if the common Youth starts to strive towards greatness? Say no to anybody using them for personal interest. We will have a productive young generation.

Remain yours truly, Founder and Executive Director: Save the Youth Foundation Sierra Leone.

Title: Sierra Leone

Sound the drum

In the middle of the night

Everyone must hear it

Ring the bell

Ring the alarm

All nations must hear this

Leone with Sierra at the back is rejoicing

Ebola, civil war, mudslide, flooding and corona can't stop us from shining

On the west coast of Africa, there you can find us dining

Never giving up, never loose hope, never say never

Eco the sound of a peaceful 59th independence anniversary

Greetings from the Republic of Liberia
COVID-19
Update #3

Ambassador Tom Deozil Wonkpah Jr.

Liberians are beginning to fear COVID-19 more than ever before during this lockdown, as day comes, cases increase, we just heard another 8 new cases of COVID-19 today.

The president has instructed the National Port Authority (NPA) Director to supply all the less fortunate and disable people with food and some cash during the lackdown and that process started yesterday.

Liberians and politics:
The true is that, we are the cause of our own problem, while government trying to fight this virus ,some of our politicians are still playing politics with our lives, telling people not to Wash their hands with the buckets provided by the president, they are saying that, they can't contribute towards the fight because we the citizens don't pay taxes to them not knowing that it's our taxes we paid before government pay them as salaries.

Government joint security for the lackdown and state of emergency are still beating on citizens who refused to leave the main streets of Monrovia during the lackdown period.

More updates coming soon!
Thanks!!!!

Update #2

Ambassador Tom Deozil Wonkpah Jr.

Why we are going through the 3weeks state of emergency and 2weeks lockdown here in Liberia, the outbreak in increasing on a daily basis and it's causing fear within us.

Liberian are hoping to get good news after the lockdown and state of emergency but it's like we are going to get more confirmed cases after the lockdown.

More updates coming soon!!!

We are going live tonight t 11:30 pm to update you all on the two week lockdown in Liberia
Our ambassador From Liberia will host the live broadcast

11/04/2020

Greetings From the Republic of Liberia:

Update #1
COVID-19
Tom Deozil Wonkpah Jr.

On Friday by 11:59 PM Liberians started their first 2weeks Lackdown and 3weeks State of Emgency, during this time, Liberians are asked to stay indoor from 3:00 PM to 6:00 AM, no one person are allowed to leave their community to visit another person community during the time of the Lackdown.

With this current situation in country, there were too many experiences my team and I came across today, essentials businesse places (Food Centers, General Markets, Drugs Store, Clinic and hospital,Gas Stations and supermarkets )were opened today to enable us preparer for the Lackdown time.

In the morning from 7AM, people entered the market places to buy food and some items necessary to them, people also went at the Banks to withdraw money (monies) for personal reasons, and people went to some places up to 2PM.

By 3:00 shape, the whole city began empty and quiet.

The public opinions on the lockdown:
People says that, the lockdown is not necessary because they don't have money to get food for family, some said even if money is there, there is no freedom and the food and money in house can't carry them throughout the 14days.

Some says that, they are hoping to hear good news about Coronavrius leaving the country after the 14days and the government of Liberia should try her possible best to fight kick it out.

Happenings:
According to the president, people should still within their community during the lackdown and leave the main streets but people are calling on radio stations saying that, Police are running into their community (ies) telling them to go into there rooms or they will beat on them.

People also saying that, if the police keep chasing after them within their community (ies) to go indoors and continue on tomorrow, they will surely react to them.

As I report, let me announce to you that we have 11 new confirmed cases that increase u
the number to 48 cases for today.

Thanks!!!! 😂😂😂😂

I live to see children suffer to get education
To make them attend school
to make them get educated and be influential

I live to see children cry for food
