I sent this email this morning but I'm aware I don't have everyone's email addresses, particularly members of the pit, so I wanted to share here in the hopes of reaching you all.

Thank you for everything you do for Wilton High School theater!

Dear Theater Family,

What an absolutely incredible weekend!

The songs are still ringing in my ears and I have a huge grin on my face thinking about what those amazing kids just produced. I'm so proud of each and every one of them - every actor, every crew member, every member of the pit. All the hard work they have put in for three months+ really came together this weekend to create four wonderful performances and to make amazing memories for the whole community.

I had people telling me that their young child was now inspired to start theater, WCT parents telling me that they were now so excited for their kids to move up to high school theater and older community members telling me they never missed a show and that this one was one of the greats!

One of the things I absolutely love about show weekend is the way YOU all show up to take part and help out. The saying "it takes a village" certainly applies to what we do. Thank you for showing up to help out at concessions, to work backstage, to run out for snacks for the kids, to donate snacks and baked goods, to help with costumes, paint sets, create lobby displays, sew things, bleach things (lots of that this time!), glue things. There is no way the show would have been as successful as it was without your support. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for all that you do.

T-SHIRTS, PHOTO BOOKS ANS A DIGITAL RECORDING
We have quite a few t-shirts left from the show (see many TAA board members modelling them below!). If anyone would like one, please reach out and we'll see if we have your size. They're discounted to $15.

With the help of yet another parent volunteer, Kim Purcell, we also produce a mixbook of photos from the show. We have professional standard photos taken by the epic Lara Paschalidis and the books are just lovely to have as a memento. Look out for an email from Kathryn this week with a link to purchase if you missed them at the show.

The show was also recorded and digital copies will be available. Again, information on this will come in an email from Kathryn.

PS - TAA CONFUSION?
I think for some parents of freshmen, there is some confusion about what exactly the TAA is and how we fit into things, so while I have your attention, my name is Sarah Beach and I'm the President of The TAA, the Theater Arts Association. We're essentially a booster club and our role is to support Kathryn Luckstone, who is the Artistic Director employed by the school. We fundraise, coordinate volunteers, and try to create a sense of community and promote Wilton High School Theater. We are not involved in selecting shows, casting, directing, producing or any of that good stuff - we leave the hard stuff to Kathryn and her team! As the parent of a child involved in theater you are automatically a member of the TAA - and as such eligible to vote etc. We also have a board of 7 people, who work to drive things forward. There is information about us on the Wilton High School Theater website here (but I need to update it this week so please look again in a few days!). We update the Wilton Theater Arts Association page regularly so please follow us there for information.

We are looking for new board members for next year, so please reach out if you'd like to be more involved!

Wilton High School goes creepy and kooky with musical production of 'The Addams Family' "The Addams Family," featuring characters made famous by cartoonist Charles Addams, hits the stage May 16 to May 18 at the Clune Center at Wilton High School.

Sitzprobe: In opera and musical theatre, a Sitzprobe (from the German for 'seated rehearsal') is a rehearsal where the singers sing with the orchestra, focusing attention on integrating the two groups. It is often the first rehearsal where the orchestra and singers rehearse together.
