The bus is designed with low entry, in order to make the passenger access to bus easier, but at the same time, it can entertain a higher volume of seating passengers in comparison to a traditional city bus.

This concept can be optimally used for application like school bus or company shuttle bus.

The new MAN RR8 IC has been designed for a school run but has luxury coach feel. The 10.5 meters with up to 45-seat bus painted in its company colors: a royal blue tail end, the Southern Cross and distinctive large logo across the front.

Any driver would be more than happy to have this bus on their route.

The Truck making process at MAN Factory in Munich

It is said that the truck needs a classic process that is inspected and manufactured by the operator, rather than an automated process, because the truck can select the specifications required by the customer and requires a customized process.

Trucks also require more advanced safety facilities than passenger cars because they carry a heavy weight. As a result, it is inevitable that you will have to manufacture parts one by one. And in this area, MAN was able to have a solid technology based on a long history, and was able to show off trucks with outstanding quality and durability.

In Munich Truck Factory, there are 66 stations with the total length of 700 meters. It is said that the parts required to assemble the trucks and trucks to be manufactured are moved on a AGV robot. If a problem arises during the assembly process, only the AGV carrying the component moves off the line to a designated rework location, and upon solving the problem, returns to the line.

At the end of one process, they are inspected and the person in charge signs it. Since each process is inspected, it is possible to check the defect rate for each process. Based on this, the factory can see which process needs to be improved, and at the same time, the defect rate can be lowered.

Because of its innovations and one-of-a-kind concepts, it has received numerous awards and gained attention locally and abroad.

What are the seven design principles of MAN?

1. Recognition
All our vehicles have to be recognized as belonging to our brand. As the commercial vehicles running on the road are not different so they need eye-catching design elements that immediately say to the onlooker: that's a MAN.

2. Comfort
The ergonomic has been applied with the design of MAN vehicles. All of the control elements have to be easily accessible and clearly visible to the driver. The seats with air suspension which provides a comfortable ride by reducing vibrations and shocks when driving the vehicle are also essential.

3. Operability
Commercial vehicles have various features for drivers. While various technologies were installed in the vehicle, the ability to use in properly way is also important factor to consider. Therefore, the function of each pictogram must be immediately comprehensible and be logically integrated into the overall design concept.

4. Safety
Our vehicles have been developed from a holistic perspective to balance different functional requirements. By creating more interior space in a truck, for instance, we directly increase collision safety and comfort for the driver.

5. Aerodynamics
Products that are well designed also satisfy functional requirements. So, when designing a vehicle, aerodynamics is an essential factor. Everything that introduced unnecessary air resistance was removed. A well and correctly designed aerodynamic shape not only reduces fuel consumption it also reduces driving noise and prevents soiling on the outer surface.

6. Material Quality
The materials used in the production of vehicles are one of the key factors in design. We use modern and durable materials. The user feels more comfortable in a high-quality vehicle and takes better care of it. This benefits sustainability as a whole.

7. Aesthetics
Although aesthetics also play a major role here and influence the buying decision but MAN buses and trucks do not follow short-lived fashions, they are timelessly elegant. The powerful-sympathetic appearance is important in a truck.

MAN Lions Touring Bus runs through Busan!

Busan City Tour Bus can freely get on and off (Hop-On Hop-Off). It will be running on 2-3 sightseeing routes in Busan. In addition to general routes, there are theme tour routes such as night tours and historical tours.

MAN Lion's Touring Bus has a variety of specialized functions for sightseeing that cannot be seen on a regular bus i.e. open top with removable windows which passengers can enjoy the true sight of scenic through open ceiling and windows.

Innovation is never be new thing for MAN.

It's almost a century since MAN presented the world's first diesel engine in 1924. Moreover, it can be considered that MAN has built a strong foundation for commercial vehicle until today.

A moving gastronomic experience in Singapore where you can enjoy regional delicacies and city sightseeing in the same time.

The MAN double-decker’s upper deck hosts a restaurant with room for 32 guests, with the kitchen located on the lower deck.

The route of this GOURMETbus takes the tour-goer to many spots; the Esplanade performing arts centre, the National Gallery, Chinatown, the world-famous Gardens by the Bay, and the world’s largest fountain at Suntec City.

Throughout the journey, Samsui ginger chicken and dim sum are served at midday or Indo-Chinese dishes in the evening.

The MAN GOURMETbus is a refreshing concept that creatively combines a culinary experience with sightseeing. It also shows the innovative possibilities that MAN can offer all around the world with its products in cooperation with body manufacturers.

MAN has designed the name that makes people know the types and use of vehicles by hearing the product names.

MAN trucks have a TG at the beginning of their names which stands for "Truck Generation". Currently we have total 5 types of TG which are:

TGE = Express - is a compact van
TGL = Light - is small and medium sized truck
TGM = Medium - is medium and large truck suitable for transporting construction materials
TGS = Standard - is a heavy-duty truck that is active in all kinds of industries
TGX = eXtra - is a heavy truck

Closer when you look at the door, you will see for example "TGX 41.640" which means TGX, heavy duty truck with 41 tons of allowable vehicle total weight and 640 horsepower.

Did you know? MAN's history can be traced back to more than 250 years to 1758, with the commencement of heavy-industry operations at the St Antony ironworks in Oberhausen.

The MAN Truck Forum in Munich often replaces the trucks in the exhibition hall. This is one of the old cars in MAN museum in Ausburg which is MAN 630L1 six-ton ​​diesel truck. It was shipped in 1953. It's been 67 years and it would still be able to go on the road normally!

The annual Warranty Training held in Bangkok during February 24-28. 14 participants from Australia, Indonesia, New Caledonia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and Area APAC After Sales Staff participated in the training.

The comprehensive Warranty Training courses consisted of Standard Time Calculation, GA-Online (Warranty Summit Portal), and Warranty Processing. A session of Warranty Handling knowledge sharing across the countries was also arranged.

The objective of the training courses was to satisfy customers’ demands through Warranty Operation with the “Customer First” concept as point of focus.

We will keep this good tradition of the Warranty Training, which provides a good competency development opportunity for our NSCs and importers going, to make sure that we are on the right track of getting closer to our customers and being MAN Simply #1
