2018 Le Pergole Torte

For many, Le Pergole Torte is one of the finest examples of Sangiovese out there. To be grouped into the category of Chianti (despite no longer releasing the wine under the Classico denomination, preferring instead to be judged on Montevertine's own stellar reputation), Le Pergole Torte is 'a profound soliloquy for Sangiovese. Named after the tiny 2-hectare vineyard from which it comes, Le P.T. has one of the coolest microclimates in the region, giving the wine a shivering energy, a precision to balance the wine’s obvious power. There is truly tremendous clarity to the wine, an articulation of nuance – dark berry fruit, dried cherry notes, smoke, gravel – make no mistake, Le Pergole Torte is meant to age.'

The ultimate wine from this producer, and one that is only made in exceptional years. The Sangiovese is fermented in concrete and is matured over two years in a mixture of Slavonian and French oak before bottling. This ever there was a wine to lay down it was this one, taking pride of place in any cellar collection as it continues to unfurl over decades to come. Something very special indeed.

🍾Michel Fallon Ozanne🍾

Michel Fallon is an elusive producer to say the least and his tiny production of roughly 1,000 bottles a year at most are as hard to come by as any top grower Champagne you can imagine. Michel has spent the last 30 years as the primary assistant to the Champagne visionary Anselme Selosse. He has touched nearly every aspect of production during his time with Selosse, from working in the vineyards to the cellar. He has a better understanding of the “Selosse” method than just about anyone else, a method he applies to his own wine.

During this time he also had been working his in-laws vineyards and applying the same methods and philosophy to those vineyards as he was with Selosse and his vineyards. After several years of watching his meticulously cared for fruit be sent off to the cooperative, he was finally offered the opportunity to vinify a few rows of their vines for himself. An opportunity he clearly could not pass up, thus the Michel Fallon label was born. Taking 30+ years of knowledge and know-how working for one of the truly great minds of Champange and applying it to his own project.

Michel produces just one wine, Ozanne, the name is a nod to the historical name of Avize that was in use until 796. Over time Michel is expected to receive access to more vines, allowing him to up his production and perhaps expand his line-up if he so wishes.

2010 Suenen Millesime Blanc de Blancs
🍇Chardonnay

An intensity that is found in the mouth, all in lightness and elegance, with a very nice velvety texture. Very ripe citrus fruits, dried fruits and fresh bread, with chalky notes. A whiteness of extra-raw whiteness completely integrated, which finishes on a long acidulated finish and harmonious, dense and salivating.

コート・デ・ブランのテロワールを完全に表現してると評されるこのスェナンの2010年ビンテージのブラン・ド・ブラン🥂柑橘系の爽やかさと、熟成による香ばしいロースト香が混じり合う香り。ミネラルと熟した果実溢れる味わい。余韻は長く素晴らしいハーモニーを奏でています🍾

2010 Didier Dagueneau Buisson Renard🥂
世界最高峰のソービニョン・ブランの生産者ダグノー、2008年にディディエが亡くなり息子ルイが継いでから2年目の作品💁‍♂️プレッシャーにも負けず素晴らしい仕上がりのワイン🎉

Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau's 2010 Blanc Fume de Pouilly Buisson Renard displays prominently piquant nuttiness along with pronounced bite of citrus rind and pineapple core, all of which guarantee a stimulating experience from what he calls "the style of wine I adore" for its density, richness and amplitude. That said, I personally much prefer as well as find more remarkable the clarity and vivacity of the estate's "regular" 2010 Pouilly. There is certainly impressive grip to the peat- and stone-tinged finish of this Buisson Renard and I don't doubt it will remain a formidable libation for at least the next half dozen years.

Connigisは1500本の生産、La Capellaにいたってはたった1100本しか生産してない幻のシャンパン🥂

ビオロジック、およびビオディナミによる畑の栽培管理会社を営んでいたステファニーとジュリアンが、2012年にスタートした新しいメゾン。
彼らの畑ももちろんビオディナミで栽培しプレパラートはなんと自家製‼️

ジュリアンはかつてフランスの剪定技術コンクールで金賞を獲得した腕前も誇ります。
2015年からは古代品種の栽培も開始🍇

今後購入できなくなる事間違いなしの生産者です✨

オーストラリアンワインらしくエチケットには可愛らしいコアラが描かれている🐨
味わいもとてもチャーミングでストロベリーやラズベリーの赤い果実の香りに、爽やかなスパイスが感じられる。しっかりとした綺麗な酸味と泡立ちが飲む手を休ませてくれない💦マグナムなのにあっという間に飲み終わってしまいます😅
