Baby elephants are born into a world of love and protection, surrounded by the females of their herd. Elephant mothers are incredibly caring, and they are never alone in raising their calves. Other females, often called “Aunties,” and “Sister” step in to help watch over and protect the little ones. 💚
Together, they form a protective circle around the babies, keeping them safe from any danger. This deep bond of care makes sure the calves are always guarded.
At the same time, baby elephants learn by watching their family. They study how to use their trunks to eat and drink, how to communicate with soft rumbles and gestures, and how to find food and water.
Every day is a lesson, guided by the wisdom of the herd. Under the watchful eyes of their family, baby elephants grow up safely, learning the ways of their world, one step at a time.💚🐘

There’s something profoundly peaceful about watching elephants walk together. A mother and her baby, side by side, with their tails swaying and ears gently flapping, moving with the rhythm of nature. In these moments, they are calm, with no rush—just enjoying their surroundings. Sometimes, their mahouts walk with them, guiding gently 💚
Have you ever wonder and imagined what a true home or sanctuary for elephants looks like? When these days, they can’t return to the wild as they should, because of us—because of deforestation and so many more problems!
We often think we know what’s best for them, but what if we simply observed and let them be?
What we know one thing that elephants suppose to have the freedom to choose—whether to walk with their mahouts or wander the forest on their own,Instead of controlling their lives, we provide what they actually need and let them decide how to live. This is what freedom looks like for elephants—a life where they can just be themselves. And just like us, they deserve that chance.
It is our responsibility. Because we take their home, we destroy their home, We can help protect these gentle giants by supporting sanctuaries, raising awareness, and fighting to preserve their natural habitats. Every step we take matters in creating a better future for them.

The Profound Bond Between Mahouts and Elephants 💚🐘
Working alongside mahouts and elephants has been one of the most enlightening and humbling experiences of my life. These gentle giants, known for their intelligence and deep emotional capacity, means they can tell if being treated with respect or cruelty, they can sense fear, anger, and love and they respond accordingly.
During my time spent with mahouts and elephants, I’ve seen how love and respect can transform elephants and their relationship into something truly special. When treated rightly with kindness and understanding, elephants develop deep trust in their mahouts and who care for them. 🐘
the most important lessons and what I valued is that “ Love is the foundation of everything in this relationship” when elephants feel loved, they are relaxed and and allowed them to be themselves and much more happier.💚
The bond between a mahouts and their elephants is beautiful example of what can happen when humans and animals interact with mutual respect. It’s reminder that all living beings, no matter their size or strength, respond to kindness and understanding. This can be applied in many ways in our relationship with animals, the environment, and each other. 🐘🌿
And lastly Thank you to Khun and for being the incredible guide, teacher and role model for this world and importantly to young generations, thank you for being the voice of the elephants.🙏

久しぶりの投稿。映画の撮影もいよいよ終盤です。念願だった象の出産も撮影できました。出産は壮絶なものでした。死人が出なくてよかったと思っています。内容は映画ができてからのお楽しみです。来年２月から編集に入ります。完成を目指して前に進みます。

This is part 2 of Chaba and Pyi Mai in the mud bath!
As we filmed at Elephant Nature Park just after the rain had come, the mud bath was the perfect playground for Chaba and Pyi Mai. You can see in our previous video, where they are going crazy rubbing themselves and swimming into their natural swimming pool.
For today’s video, it was time for them to take a break after a long playing session and to get some kisses from Bunma (Chaba’s mother). After a reload of kisses and affection from Bunma, they were ready to get back to action! It didn't take them long before jumping right back in the muddy bath and having a blast!

Elephant Nature Park is one of our filming destinations for our documentary “UNSPOKEN SOULS”. We often pay a visit to the little babies Pyi mai and Chaba as our team has followed their rescue and their arrival at ENP.
We observed their personal development and we are amazed how unique their personality is.
As they know us, it is always a challenge to try and film them. They always come to say “hi” and seems to have a great interest in the camera. Their curious nature pushes them to try to play with this unknown toy for them. Despite this, we are always excited to see them, especially when our cameraman comes back with loads of mud on his face from all the kisses of the little ones!

Once and again our dynamic duo Pyi Mai & Chaba having the time of their life in the mud bath!
As it is the rainy season, muddy areas are the perfect playground for elephants. As most of you already know, the two littles ones are known for their active energy and their sense of curiosity about their surroundings at Elephant Nature Park.
When we came to visit them, they suddenly jumped in their natural swimming pool and didn’t stop playing, splashing, rubbing, slipping and diving for an hour straight! As I was so captivated by their joy of life, I realized at the end that I was completely covered in mud, just like them!

This is our precious baby girl Chaba with her mother Bunma enjoying cake at Elephant Nature Park. This was filmed during dry season and you can see Chaba who has no interest in eating the cake and prefers to play with it. At that age, Chaba still drinks her mother’s milk and cake seems more like a fruity mud bath than a treat!

This is Kham Meun & Dodo, two brother elephants who share a strong bond and who are never too far from each other. They have a great complicity and together they thrive freely on the lush mountain of Karen Elephant Home. As you can see in the video, their relationship is precious and they use their trunks to communicate and express their love for each other. We often visit them and it is impressive to see how unique their connection is!

This is part 5 of our series ”Karen Elephant Home: Unique Experiences”. Karen Elephant Home is one of the main places that we are filming for our documentary “UNSPOKEN SOULS” (To be completed in 2023).
In this video, we visited the Home with our children and their friends. They were motivated to have different experiences that could not be done at their living place. Two of them came from Tokyo, one from Amsterdam and another from Montreal, Canada. Carrying a bunch of grass for elephants wasn't an easy task for those city residents.
Can you give me your idea in your comment how many kg one bunch of grass weight is? I’ll answer you in our next post of this series!

Our famous duo of baby elephants: Pyi Mai and Chaba are never too far from each as they are great playmates. As Pyi Mai is slightly older than Chaba, she mentor’s the little one and likes to show her around and influences her in her elephant behavior.
You can see in the video that Pyi Mai is reaching to the trees to eat and Chaba next to her, tries to do the same. It is great to see them guide each other through their development of young elephants, as Pyi mai takes her role of big sister seriously!

Pyi Mai, an almost 2 year old calf at Elephant Nature Park is famous among the visitors, but also the elephant lovers! Pyi mai has a unique personality and is known for her sparkling energy!
If you pay attention to Pyi Mai behaviors in the video, you can see why she is so special. As she has a great sense of curiosity, she is tempted to explore her neighbors' shelters and sneak in between the bars. Although she is still a baby, she can’t go any further due to her size! You can see her carefully slipping out, as she knows that if she gets too agitated it won't help her. At that age, it is crucial for baby elephants to explore their surroundings and to push their sense of curiosity, to acquire as much knowledge as possible.
Even though she is an intelligent and independent elephant, you can always see D-Max (Pyi Mai’s nanny) or Kham Moon (her mother) never too far, always keeping an eye on little baby Pyi Mai!

This is part 4 of our series ”Karen Elephant Home: Unique Experiences”. Karen Elephant Home is one of the main places that will show up in our documentary film “UNSPOKEN SOULS”.
Mahouts(Elephant caretakers) need to clean the elephant shelters every day. In this video, we visited Karen Elephant Home with our children and their friends, and they wanted to have experiences of the real works of mahout. As this cleaning activity is a trial, Mr.Kriang Krai, the Home’s director, is thinking if they will offer this kind of experience for future visitors. It’s fascinating to learn about both elephants and mahout’s works.
Tourism is slowly coming back to Thailand, so Karen Elephant Home will open soon and offer many interesting activities, based on the simple and sustainable life of Karen people! For further information of Karen Elephant Home:

This is Pyi Mai, an active calf at Elephant Nature Park. Pyi Mai has a curious personality and likes to wander around and explore the surroundings. You can see her reaching to the elephant swimming pool and drinking the water out of it.
People often think that the trunk is used like a straw and that elephants drink directly from it. In fact, they use their trunk almost like a tool, as they use strong suction where they stick up the water and then they directly splash the water to their mouths to drink it. Pyi Mai's way of using her trunk is the perfect example of how elephants drink water!
