Since Year 9, Lauren has been an integral part of the BISP community. Her recent acceptances to Trinity University with a scholarship, Vassar College, Saint Leo University, Coastal Carolina University, University of Durham, Loughborough University, and University of Nottingham demonstrate her diverse interests in Liberal Arts and/or Sports and Exercise Science.

What stood out to Lauren during her time at BISP was her involvement in football and her success in the IB Diploma Programme. As Captain of the BISP Cruzeiro senior girls' football team and a high-performance athlete, Lauren effectively balances her roles and responsibilities. Additionally, as a boarder, she has been deeply involved in the school community, contributing positively to its ethos and spirit.

Lauren's journey at BISP has not only shaped her academic aspirations but has also instilled in her the values of teamwork, leadership, and dedication. With her exceptional skills and experiences, Lauren is poised to embark on a successful path towards achieving her goals and making a meaningful impact on the world.

Yamato, a prominent member of the BISP community for the past five years, is set to pursue Global Studies and Social Entrepreneurship at Thammasat University. His experiences at BISP have significantly influenced his perspective on global issues, motivating him to contribute to positive change.

Yamato's role as Colour Team Captain and U18 Cruzeiro Captain demonstrates his leadership skills and commitment to sportsmanship. Yamato has also been a football scholar during his time at BISP, showcasing his dedication to sporting excellence. He shares that his involvement in school activities and sports has positively contributed to his personal and character development.

As Yamato embarks on his journey to tackle global issues through social entrepreneurship, he believes that BISP has played a vital role in shaping his worldview and instilling the values of leadership and teamwork. With the knowledge and skills acquired during his time at BISP, Yamato is sure to succeed in making a positive impact on the world.

Cruzeiro Camp!!!!

Join us for an exciting BISP Cruzeiro Football Academy Camp on 6th-8th of April! The football camp will be divided into four age groups: Reception, Year 1/2, Year 3/4, and Year 5/6. Boys and girls of all skill levels and from all schools are welcome to join us for a weekend of fun and learning on the Jeff LaMantia Pitch.

This camp is led by experienced Brazilian coaches who will provide engaging and fun training sessions. With their expertise, you’ll have the opportunity to enhance your skills, learn new techniques, and have fun playing the sport you love.

This year BISP is celebrating our best results in the Intermediate Mathematics Challenge. BISP Students received a total of 47 certificates in the competition run by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT). This challenge is designed for only the top mathematics students and is taken by schools worldwide. Students have to apply the mathematics they have learnt in the classroom to solve a variety of problem-solving puzzles. Any certificates are an impressive achievement, and even more so for Year 9 and Year 10 students, who have to compete directly with Year 11 students. Get ready for the 20th BISP Soccer 7s, one of the largest school-based football tournaments in Asia, the Middle East and Oceania! BISP Soccer 7s will take place on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd of November 2024 and will welcome international schools from across the region.

The NJCAA is recognizing National Girls and Women in Sports Day!

Polk State Soccer is an eight-time Region 8 champion with three appearances all-time in the national NJCAA Tournament with the most recent coming in 2022.

Under first-year head coach Dee Shivraman this past season, the Eagles put together a fourth straight winning season. As a team, Polk State ranked in the top 15 nationally in goals against average.
