Spectrum News 13 reporter Dylan Lyons and photojournalist Jesse Walden were covering the shooting death of Nathacha Augustin that occurred earlier in the day Wednesday when a man ran up to their news vehicle and shot the journalists.

The shooter then ran to a nearby house and shot a 9-year-old T’yonna Major to death and also shot her mother, who is critically injured.

Lyons died at the hospital from his injuries. News 13 reports that photojournalist Walden is “out of surgery and is talking with colleagues.”

إمارة منطقة مكة المكرمة تنفي تساقط الثلوج في مكة

نشرت بعض الصفحات حديثا على غرار صفحة " " مقاطع فيديو وصورا تزعم إنه تساقط للثلوج في عدد من #مناطق #السعودية وفي الحرم المكي وبجانب #الكعبة.

إلا أن إمارة منطقة مكة المكرمة فندت عبر حسابها على #تويتر صحة الفيديو، ونشرت تغريدة قالت فيها أن "الفيديو المتداول لتساقط الثلوج على المسجد الحرام غير صحيح ومعالج بمؤثرات إضافية".

وأكدت الإمارة في نفس التغريدة أن درجة الحرارة في مكة بلغت يوم تداول مقطع الفيديو والصور المزعومة 30 درجة مئوية، أي أنها غير مُهيأة مُناخيا لتساقط الثلوج.
