Close to local bars and restaurants and only a 10 minute walk to the taxi rank, Villa Joy allows easy access to the vibrant night life of the old town, yet provides a peacefully quiet stay slightly away from the centre. We are filling up fast for 2024 peak times, but with the addition of pool heating, Villa Joy is perfect for early or late season bookings. Take a look, this might be just what you are looking for.

Villa Joy in Kalkan is our favourite place to be. Close to some fabulous restaurants and bars, and only a 10 minute walk to town, Villa Joy is in the ideal location to make the most of everything Kalkan has to offer. Below the D400, just off the Kalamar Road, it is close enough to town to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, but set slightly away giving peace and tranquility for a restful break.
With 4 bedrooms all with own bathrooms, Villa Joy is ideal for 8 people - perfect for a large group of friends or two families sharing.
The outside space offers plenty of options for sun worshiping with sun all day, yet provides shaded areas to read quietly or to play table tennis. Stunning sunsets can be viewed for the upstairs terrace and the new balconies (newly built in 2022 but not shown in the photos) with views across Kalamar Bay. There is a stone BBQ for al fresco dining and the new kitchen is fully equipped. Villa Joy has everything you’d need to make the perfect holiday. We are out here right now - our first trip of the year. It’s great to see the town getting ready for a wonderful summer. We took a walk to the market this morning and I noticed this wonderful view of Villa Joy that I hadn’t seen before. Absolutely gorgeous here this time of year.

The winter sky is pretty awesome in Kalkan too.

Villa Joy is a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa over three floors, centrally located and within an easy walking distance into the old town. Villa Joy is close to bars and restaurants and is in a great location to make the most of everything Kalkan has to offer. There are also at least two supermarkets with 0.5km. With a large pool and outside whirlpool, the outside space offers plenty of space to sunbathe, read, play table tennis or to cool off in some shade. If you are looking outside of peak times, Villa Joy has pool heating available making this a great choice for early in the year. Contact us if you'd like to make a booking enquiry.

There is the Can Can and Migros supermarkets within 0.5km and the wonderful hammam at the hotel Elixir a stone’s throw away, which is highly recommended. The location is perfect to access the best of all that Kalkan has to offer.
We have just finished the first wave of refurbishments since buying the villa in October.
Villa Joy spans three floors, cleverly organised to easily accommodate our large family or two separate families without encroaching on each other’s privacy. The bedrooms are large, light and airy with large windows or a balcony terrace, from which, the views across Kalamar and Kalkan bays can be enjoyed (Two doubles and two twin rooms each with private bath, shower or wet room easily sleeping 8 people, with an additional two double sofa beds to max capacity of 12).
It is the outside space however, that really appealed to us when we bought - we think you will agree. The feeling of space across the plot is in stark contrast to many of the more contemporary styled glass villas available, where often the pool takes up much of the space. Villa Joy has a large pool (11 x 4m) but also has lots of additional space to sunbathe, eat, cool off, enjoy the sunset, play table tennis or read. We spend most of our time outside when we are on holiday and this space really works with our large family or groups of friends.
We have furnished Villa Joy with light and bright soft furnishings with splashes of colour coming from Turkish carpets and artworks from local artists. We have also added heating for the pool.
Dates are already filling up, with most of the UK school holidays already filled for 2021. Please contact us for availability.

We have availability on these dates for 2020 and we are usually flexible with arrival and departure times, as long as we can get the turnaround completed efficiently for the next guest.

We are currently refurbishing (much of the work has already been completed) and will be ready to receive guests from May 2020.
