Today reminds us that fathers are vital in ensuring the strength and stability of our families as protectors, co-providers, role models, and mentors. They are therefore instrumental in raising productive citizens and building strong, steady communities. Happy Fatherโ€™s Day to all, and may God always bless our fathers with wisdom and strength to do right by their children.

Government remains with no new plans while citizens continue to suffer - Citizens have battled on their own while Government focus on Halloween

As another week begins during this pandemic, many of us would have looked to the Prime Ministerโ€™s press conference on Saturday to find some direction, but again we heard nothing but excuses.

The Prime Minister came to update the nation on our fight against COVID-19, but instead, again blamed citizens and offered no new plans to rescue people and businesses that continue to fall victim to the pandemic and its effects.

Our testing levels remain low and there still is no word on the promised rapid testing kits.

While businesses are shutting down in record numbers, the Prime Minister offers no hope or support to them. While citizens are home unemployed and unable to earn a living all the Prime Minister does is boast about the billions spent on social support.

While he boasts of these billions, no one seems to know where this money was spent as the people on the ground are still awaiting their promised salary relief grants.

If we the people were our own government, we would have overcome this pandemic months ago just as many nations around the world such as New Zealand have. The government continues to leave our stranded citizens and students locked out while they focus on Halloween.

Again, we ask, where are the rapid testing kits? Testing is the only way to defeat this pandemic and citizens continue to complain that they have to wait days and sometimes weeks for their results.

The government continues to fail the people while only focusing on themselves.
