A two-year associate degree in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment or an equivalent professional qualification plus a minimum of 3-4 years working experience in the field of HSE with at least one (1) year of experience in a Process Plant.

Requirements:

Requirements:

We are proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Zico De Clou BEng., MSc., R.Eng., M.ASCE to the position of Managing Director, Alvair (Guyana) Inc.

Mr. De Clou is a registered Civil Engineer with approximately (eighteen) 18 years post-graduate work experience and over 17 (seventeen) years of professional experience in the field of building works and land development engineering, particularly in Stormwater conveyance designs (Hydrology and Hydraulic), Road Designs (Geometric and Structural), Project Management and Construction Management. His experience also includes Contract Management (FIDIC Yellow book, Redbook & Green Book), schedule preparation and analysis.

Mr. De Clou obtained his degree in Engineering from the University of Guyana and has worked on many projects in Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada in various sectors/categories, including Industrial, Healthcare, Transportation, Airports, Hospitality, Demolition, Restoration, and Residential.

Alvair Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Leighton A. Ellis (PHD, MBA, PE, CENG MICE, ACIARB) as managing director of Alvair's Jamaica office.

Dr. Leighton Ellis's professional experience spans eighteen (18) years unfolded in engineering practice and academia. His experience in design and construction spans various sub-disciplines of civil engineering, namely coastal, structural, highway, and environmental.

Dr. Ellis’ noted roles on projects have been as a design engineer, contract administrator, and project manager. Dr. Ellis is a Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE) with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and registered with the Engineering Council (ECUK). He is also a registered Professional Engineer in Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago, as well as an Associate member with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIARb) as a certified Mediator.

He has served the engineering fraternity as the Chairperson for engineering professional associations in Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago, guiding over 600 engineers to rethink their engagement in service and commitment to the profession.

He currently serves as the Chairperson for the Civil Division of the Jamaica Institution of Engineers (JIE), as well as the ICE Representative for Jamaica.

Dr. Ellis is also a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering at The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus with a specific emphasis on Construction Engineering courses.
