This box brought back memories. I remember the tablets inside …..sugar, heart….etc. My dad was fit, worked physically hard every day and ate lots of home cooked food.

If you are to ask me what happened? Diabetes and alcohol no friend. He also smoked to the last, tried many times to quit but the bad habit won over his willpower. His fave protein was pork pork and pork. The home cooked curry had too much oil (it adds up) on an everyday basis and the high starch content in plenty ground provision, rice/roti. Some say the curry don’t taste good, if it doesn’t have sufficient oil. Think about how much oil your family is consuming per mth. How much you buy?

He was not a sweets person but the simple food we call home cooked was not balanced meals in the right proportions. He had his 2nd and 3rd heart attack on the same weekend at age 50…..didn’t need the medicine box again. We leave kids out here with all our bad lifestyle habits/genetics , to carry on the cycle. I’d be 40 this year and I’d say, my bloods are worrying so I’ve really cracked down on trying to reset my metabolism and get my organs to work better (with and without medicine) …….especially my pancreas. The littlest of ignorance with diabetes would slow down the function of your organs and eventually fail you. It does provide warning but it’s up to you to take heed……before it’s too late and the hospital becomes your best friend. Death would seem easier, don’t believe me…..take your teens for a walk in the hospital during visiting hours.

I’d say my dad was lucky, he died suddenly and never ailed by a fail organ such as …..kidney failure and had to take dialysis etc.

Anyways, what type of wood was used to make the box?

Ferry Tickets for July/August are out.

Omg I’ve been waiting since 9.30am to purchase ferry tickets to Tobago at Willoughby's Travel Service. Now 2.30pm and still have about 10 ppl in front of me. There’s ppl purchasing 50, 100+ tickets…..what about one line for those ppl and one for under 10 tickets…..wouldn’t one line be very efficient with faster turnover? The average turnover time is about 20-30mins or more pp. Proper system and planning brings efficiency. On the day that July/ August Ferry tickets are released should be anticipated with a proper system in place. For past 5 hours, little to no communication. A little communication about ppl having 100’s tickets to purchase would have been nice to know…..I would have driven to the port or another agency since this am. Not everyone in the hospitality business aims to be hospitable.

I had to leave for my kids at 1.30pm but already been waiting so long…..the ppl in line asked me, to ask someone in front. I did and they said yes…..well u all should have heard the insult from the customer service personnel “oh she not selling them my tickets. How I cut the line and the ppl in the line prompted me to ask eh.”

For the first time, I asked a friend to keep my kids…..ah still waiting. All this for ferry tickets. Anyways guys ferry tickets out and brace yahself for wait, if everyone in front you have 100 ticket. At this point I feel like I’m lined up for free tickets. There’s 6 chairs and poor air quality to wait 5plus hours with over 50 ppl in line eh. If travel agencies can’t accommodate this service, why grant the privilege for such? Wish I drove to the port this am, would have reached home by now.

I’d do a live and chat about this later. Ah whole day for 3 tickets.

Progress, plenty of prayer, and faith... It's not an easy road, but it's not impossible.

Btw we were already in Santa Cruz heading up to Maracas beach side…..d opposite side of the mountain ppl.
