單簧管演奏家費里拉是現時令人注目的新一代獨奏家之一，剛於去年與香港小交響樂團於葡萄牙馬爾旺國際音樂節中演出，備受讚賞。費里拉將再次與音樂總監柏鵬合作，並演奏兩首由香港小交響樂團與三個歐美樂團
聯合委約作曲家哥頓創作的單簧管作品，一展功架。兩首樂曲一氣呵成呈現，單簧管時而柔和細膩、時而奔放突出，像是在樂團的畫布上著色，瀰漫著引人入勝、變幻莫測的樂思。

An iconic work for the clarinet demanding absolute mastery of the instrument, Debussy‘s Première Rhapsodie is poetic, capricious and enthralling, displaying the beautiful instrument’s kaleidoscopic
sound qualities and instilling lasting influence in all who continue to contribute towards the clarinet repertoir – one of whom being composer Geoffrey Gordon. His clarinet concerto Fumée – inspired by Debussy‘s work as well as a chanson by Reynaldo Hahn, setting the text of Greek poet Jean Moréa – reflects on the transient existence of human beings, who ultimately leave the world as ashes and vanish like smoke, or fumée.

A thoughtful pairing of these two works by Debussy and Gordon will make up the musical core of this concert by Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Music Director Christoph Po**en, presenting the Portuguese clarinet rising star Horácio Ferreira; the rest of the programme includes Debussy’s evocative masterpiece Prélude à L‘Après-midi d’un Faune, as well as Mozart‘s electrifying Symphony No 40 in G minor.

國際小提琴明星庄司紗矢香16歲贏得1999年帕格尼尼國際小提琴大賽冠軍，至今仍是唯一一位奪得此項殊榮的日本演奏家。她剛柔並濟的獨特氣質，卓爾超群的音樂造詣成功奠定了她在樂壇崇高的位置。香港小交響樂團再度邀得庄司紗矢香來港獻技，在音樂總監柏鵬帶領下，演奏蕭斯達高維契的第一小提琴協奏曲，盡展小提琴巨大的魅力。

樂團還會首演本地作曲界新力軍楊凱晴之最新委約作品《比翼步》，靈感來自她與白鴿群的經歷，從插翼難飛的恐懼，幻化成對鳥類有趣無邊的想像。柏鵬最後以艾爾加的《謎語變奏曲》為音樂會作結，當中刻劃入微的14首變奏風格各異，也為樂團2024/2025豐富多樣的新樂季展開序幕。

由香港小交響樂團委約，全才作曲家／駐團藝術家（2006-2008）伍卓賢所寫的《飛》於2007年香港藝術節首演，鼓手與樂團的合作打破常規；2020年疫情期間，此作的修訂版本《Project FLY飛》於網上發表，由有日本「千手觀音」之稱，鼓壇神蹟少女川口千里夥拍樂團合作，精湛演繹令人驚艷！期待已久，川口千里2024年將來港與桂冠音樂總監葉詠詩及樂團現場演繹《飛LIVE！》，以及伍卓賢為她及樂團悉心創作的新作品《繁星》，而與日本爵士樂天團T-Square合作無間 / 動畫電影《藍色巨星 BLUE GIANT》原聲配樂中擔任低音結他的田中晋吾更會一同來港演出，定必激發無盡火花！

天才鼓手川口千里2013年以16歲之齡發表首張專輯，17歲舉行巡迴演出，曾參與東京爵士音樂節，2017年更獲《JAZZ JAPAN》雜誌評為最佳現場演出，網絡點擊超過四千萬，轟動樂壇。這次川口千里訪港，與觀眾一起分享音樂的熱血與感動，不容錯過！


Premiered at the Hong Kong Arts Festival in 2007, award-winning local composer/HKS Artist Associate (2006-2008) Ng Cheuk-yin’s Fly for drum set and orchestra shattered boundaries—not only the one between pop and symphonic classical music, but also the social boundaries imposed in 2020 during the COVID pandemic when the orchestra reinvented the work into Project FLY, a recorded performance released online and joined remotely by 26-year-old Japanese drumming sensation Senri Kawaguchi.

Widely recognised as one of the world’s top drummers, whose incredible skill and poise at such a young age is simply miraculous, Kawaguchi has amassed more than 40 million views on YouTube, and appeared at the Tokyo Jazz Festival and Blue Note Tokyo. Her astonishing virtuosity and breathtaking energy can now be experienced live, as she visits Hong Kong to perform the newest version of Ng’s Fly—as well as the world premiere of his An Array of Stars, with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and its Music Director Emeritus, Yip Wing-sie. Kawaguchi will be joined on stage by leading bass guitarist Shingo Tanaka, who has worked closely with the renowned jazz fusion band T-Square and recently recorded the soundtrack for the acclaimed animated film BLUE GIANT.

當代最具影響力的藝術家之一肯特里奇又一匠心力作！創作形式橫跨繪畫、影像、雕塑及劇場，肯特里奇的新作每次均備受注目。肯特里奇為蕭斯達高維契名作第十交響曲置上叫人難忘的影像，把作曲家與蘇俄建國最初40年（1920-1960）間的歷史壓縮在一個混合紙板、戲偶、裝置、影像的電影之中。觀衆隨著鏡頭看著栩栩如生的蘇俄歷史人物在以卡板製成的博物館内遊走，耳聽著蕭斯達高維契尖銳深刻，意味深長的樂章之現場演奏，絕對是贪人啓發感悟的薽術體驗。

《噢，信是彼邦》2022年6月由琉森交響樂團作世界首演，大獲好評。香港小交響樂團將之帶到香港作亞洲首映，並由音樂總監柏鵬親自指揮，與觀衆一起回到世界記憶的時間軸。

Leading contemporary artist William Kentridge is internationally acclaimed for his drawings, films, theatre and opera productions. A film commissioned by the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester to accompany Shostakovich’s monumental Symphony No 10, Kentridge’s Oh, To Believe In Another World illustrates the story of Shostakovich and his complicated relationship with the Soviet state from the 1920s to 1960s, through charming sets made of cardboard and historical figures brought to life as puppets. Following the huge success of its world première by the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester in June 2022, Hong Kong Sinfonietta is delighted to bring this brilliantly thought-provoking production and multi-sensory feast to Hong Kong, to be performed under the baton of Music Director Christoph Po**en.

Returning to Hong Kong after her triumphant début with Hong Kong Sinfonietta last year, Principal Second Violin of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra Jehye Lee will be putting her extraordinarily compelling and versatile musicianship on full show in this concert, as she joins hands with Concertmaster James Cuddeford to present a programme of well-loved string music by Mendelssohn, Sibelius and Grieg, as well as Schnittke’s fascinating Baroque-inspired, polystylstic Concerto Grosso No 1.

兩位首席來一場Double Acts！巴伐利亞電台交響樂團第二小提琴首席，韓裔小提琴家李智慧載譽來港，她將夥拍香港小交響樂團樂團首席格德霍特，帶領樂團弦樂組演奏四首別樹一格的弦樂作品。節目包括孟德爾遜的第十弦樂交響曲，葛利格充滿舞曲動感的《霍爾貝格》組曲，西貝遼士悠揚的《節慶行板》，以及20世紀作曲大師舒尼特克為雙小提琴所寫的大協奏曲，流轉出跨越世代的娓娓之音。

Monteverdi's Il Ritorno d'Ulisse is more than one of the oldest operas in the repertory. It is also a gripping human drama, told through energetic Renaissance dance music and passionate song, bristling with all the emotion, energy and wit of what was–when it was first performed in 1639–state-of-the-art blockbuster entertainment.

Now, visionary director William Kentridge, early music specialists the Ricercar Consort and vocalists specialised in baroque singing, including mezzo-soprano Kristina Hammarström and tenor Jeffrey Thompson, join South Africa's world-famous Handspring Puppet Company to share their version of
Monteverdi opera. In a 20th-century Johannesburg hospital, an elderly Ulysses looks back on the events of his life. Through video animation, the power of Monteverdi's music performed live and Handspring's extraordinary, life-size puppets, Il Ritorno d'Ulisse blurs the boundaries between human reality and artifice, memory and actuality, to create a powerful, universal and unforgettable operatic experience.

1998年，肯特里奇執導蒙特威爾第的《尤利西斯歸鄉記》，為這部面世超過三百年的作品注入當代活力。這部融合歌劇、偶戲及視覺藝術的跨媒界作品多年來不斷巡演，引起各地觀衆共鳴。

故事講述古希臘詩人荷馬筆下的英雄尤利西斯在征戰多年後回鄉，與愛妻久別重逢的凄美經過。肯特里奇匠心獨運，安排尤利西斯躺在二十世紀的醫院病榻上，在彌留之際夢見自己回鄉。舞台上的木偶「演員」、控制木偶的木偶師以及歌唱家三位一體，以超凡默契造就形神俱備、層次立體的角色。至於肯特里奇標誌性的炭筆動畫投影，側寫故事主人翁的内心世界，增強了作品的感染力。

《尤利西斯歸鄉記》於1639年首演，是歌劇先驅蒙特威爾第創作的三部存世歌劇之一，在當年的歐洲文化之都威尼斯演出超過十場，一度大受歡迎。為了是次製作，音樂總監及編曲皮爾洛將原曲精煉至一百分鐘，並領導樂團以古提琴及巴羅克豎琴等古樂器演奏。七位樂手坐在半圓形舞台上，奏樂時默默旁觀英雄消逝。歌唱家皆於國際歌劇界享負盛名——其中嗓音雄渾的男高音湯臣唱出尤利西斯的英雄氣慨，而瑞典明星女中音哈馬絲特倫的歌聲透亮迷人，細膩演纆盡顯心思。

Prizewinner at the 2011 Rostropovich Cello Competition, International Tchaikovsky Competition
and winner of the 2014 Young Concert Artists Auditions, Edgar Moreau was born in 1994 and began playing the cello at the age of four. He took up his studies with Philippe Muller at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and later continued at the Kronberg Academy under the guidance of Frans Helmerson. At the age of 11, he made his début with the Orchestra Teatro Regio Torino, playing Dvorák's Cello Concerto.

天賦過人的法國大提琴家莫羅早已是多項國際大賽的獎項得主，包括2011年的羅斯卓波維契大提琴大賽、柴可夫斯基國際音樂大賽，以及2014年國際年青音樂家比賽。憑藉深沉醇厚的音色及無懈可擊的非凡技藝，於數年間迅速竄升為衆所矚目的大提琴明星。生於1994年的莫羅四歲開始習大提琴，於法國巴黎音樂學院就讀期間師隨穆勒學習大提琴，後入讀克隆貝爾格學院，師從赫爾默遜。11歲時初登舞台，與都靈皇家歌劇院樂團合演德伏扎克的大提琴協奏曲。

TWO FEET is a two-hour solo show originally created and performed by world-renowned Australian dancer and choreographer Meryl Tankard in 1988, drawing inspiration both from Tankard’s own life as a dancer and from the tragic story of Olga Spessivtzeva, the legendary Russian ballerina of the early 20th century whose career was cut short by mental illness. She set this work on Natalia Osipova at the Adelaide Festival in 2019, earning rave reviews from audiences and critics.

The work explores the joys and triumphs of being a great dancer along with the hard work, dedication and pain involved in what it takes to become a ballerina. This new version gives revealing glimpses into Osipova’s own life and incorporates video from her childhood. The first half showcases her breathtaking technical prowess along with her flair for comedy, looking back wryly on her early days of studying ballet. In the second half, these passages of warmth and humour give way to darker elements as the work moves inexorably to a powerful, tragic denouement.

Technically, physically and above all emotionally, the show makes enormous demands of its solo performer and Osipova rises to the challenge with a tour de force of bravura technique and mesmerising acting, from the wit and charm of her childhood memories to the searing dramatic intensity of the ending. The opportunity to see such a great artist at the height of her powers, testing herself to the limits, is truly not to be missed.

澳洲舞壇天后坦卡德代表作、獨舞作品《趾尖》，以二十世紀初最偉大的芭蕾舞者之一、俄羅斯舞姬絲貝斯柴娃為藍本，將其追求舞蹈藝術表現極致完美以至陷入瘋狂的傳奇一生為題材，呈現出坦卡德本身對藝術追求的體會與經驗，1988年於世博首演，備受讚賞，譽為經典。2019年坦卡德為同樣在藝術上追求完美，且擁有若「天外飛仙」技巧的奧斯波娃重編《趾尖》，加入了這位當代傳奇舞者的個人故事，新編獲評論一致讚賞。

《趾尖》彷彿是一次隔代舞蹈天后的真情對話。奧斯波娃真摯地呈現了初學芭蕾舞時的混沌，不住練習的艱苦，以至後來不斷追求完美技巧的身心變化。《趾尖》既有幽默時刻，也有叫人思考的嚴肅段落，緊攫着觀眾的心情。奧斯波娃這個關於至真至誠至美的藝術追尋故事，感染了所有入場觀眾。

《趾尖》的視覺設計亦為觀眾建構了一個懾人的舞台，奧斯波娃珍貴的兒時習舞錄像及照片投射在舞台上作為背景，配合出色的燈光效果和服裝設計，不僅帶領觀眾進入主角的內心世界，也是一次難得的世紀芭蕾舞星的巡禮。

True Copy is a thrilling and thought-provoking show that is a perfect fit for this post-truth era—where “alternative facts” have replaced actual facts, and feelings are given more weight than evidence.

Presented by the BERLIN theatre company from Belgium, True Copy revolves around the story of Geert Jan Jansen, one of the most notorious swindlers in the art world who was jailed in France two decades ago for his role in a massive forgery scandal and who continues to exhibit today—using paintings under his own name, of course. For years, Jansen meticulously created paintings in the style of artists including Picasso, Miro, Appel, Matisse and Van Gogh, and had them sold at auction houses in Europe. Picasso and Appel themselves validated some works as authentic and it is believed that some of Jansen’s forged paintings still hang in museums around the world.

1994年5月6日，警察於揚森的法國鄉郊住所破門而入，搜出一千六百件疑似畢加索、達利、阿佩爾等著名畫家的作品，發現當中大部份竟出自這位荷蘭畫家的手筆，從而揭發他二十多年來一直過着賣「偽」維生的日子！他鋃鐺入獄，卻一夜爆紅，來回監獄又折返，陸續舉辦個人展覽，世界各地博物館至今仍展出他四件畫作，沒有人能認出是膺品。

Soaring sounds and international stars: a universe of emotion, right here in Hong Kong. Our star guest is piano sensation Bruce Liu—the "breathtaking" (BBC Music Magazine) winner of the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in 2021—taking centre stage in a concert designed to showcase each of its participants at the pinnacle of their powers. Conductor Wilson Ng won international conducting competitions in Frankfurt, Paris and Aspen while still in his twenties, and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra was Gramophone's Orchestra of the Year in 2019.

With Liu as soloist, the HK Phil will be playing Chopin—and there will be something quite special about hearing the youthful romance of the Second Piano Concerto (written by the teenage Chopin under the inspiration of his first true love) brought to life by a soloist who is not much older than Chopin was when he wrote the piece. But first, Ng and the HK Phil will stretch their wings in the mighty First Symphony by Elgar—the sweeping, heartfelt masterpiece that the great conductor Hans Richter described as "the greatest symphony of modern times". It deals with one man's struggle with self-doubt: stormy, tender and crowned with a melody you will never forget.

於2021年以大熱姿態奪得蕭邦國際鋼琴大賽冠軍的華裔鋼琴家劉曉禹，將聯同屢獲殊榮的香港指揮家吳懷世及香港管弦樂團演奏蕭邦的第二鋼琴協奏曲，展現不一樣的冠軍風采！

劉曉禹自獲獎後便馬不停蹄到世界各地巡演，與國際頂尖樂團交流。事實上，他在奪冠後一個多月便與香港指揮家吳懷世及首爾愛樂樂團合作，於首爾藝術中心的音樂會更是全院滿座。吳懷世與劉曉禹同為新生代音樂家，曾於多個國際著名比賽獲獎，包括德國馬勒指揮大賽、德國蘇提爵士國際指揮大賽、法國斯維特蘭諾夫國際指揮大賽以及美國阿斯本音樂節指揮大賽。

兩人惺惺相惜，今番再度在藝術節的舞台相遇，夥拍獲《留聲機》選為2019年度樂團的香港管弦樂團，演繹蕭邦的第二鋼琴協奏曲。此曲乃蕭邦在十九歲寫下的首部鋼琴協奏曲，曲風鮮活靈動，處處流露他對鋼琴音色的敏銳觸覺，第二樂章更獲李斯特形容為流光溢彩、柔情萬縷。台上台下都非常投契的劉曉禹及吳懷世，強強聯手，火花四濺。同場亦會呈獻英國作曲家艾爾加磨劍十年譜寫的第一交響曲，讓樂迷大飽耳福！

The Book of Water is a moving portrait of an old widower cut off from the outside world by incessant rain and trying to find his place in a confusing and fragile world as he attempts to cling to his fading memories.

The latest work by composer cm stage director Michel van der Aa, a regular guest of the world's most prestigious festivals and concert halls including the Barbican Centre and Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, features award-winning British actor Samuel West and
acclaimed string quartet the Esmé Quartet live on stage with actor Timothy West and British soprano Mary Bevan appearing via film projection.

Van der a specialises in creating multi-media productions that seamlessly combine live music, electronic sounds, live actors and video. And in his new study of a man surrounded by erosion, nature's and his own, and who struggles for one last moment of clarity, what will survive at the end?

荷蘭作曲家暨導演米歇爾·梵德阿的最新音樂劇場作品《水之書》。梵德阿多才多藝，集作曲家、導演及編劇於一身，精於音樂劇場，將樂曲與戲劇融為一體，在表演方式上屢創新猶。在《水之書》中，現場演出與錄像投影交織，配合現場音樂與電子樂音，台上移動屏幕既延伸了舞台層次，亦打破兩者固有的藩籬。

作品以瑞士作家馬克斯 • 弗里施的中篇小說《人類出現於全新世》作為藍本，引伸探討水位上升、氣候暖化和人口老化等全球議題。故事主角是七十三歲的鰥夫蓋沙，他遠離人群獨居，面對連場暴雨，洪水臨門，加上記憶消逝，内心不免恐懼忐忑，孤寂的蓋沙該如何抓住快將消失的一切？

《水之書》表演者實力非凡，更是父子「合演」，英國演員西門·韋斯特在現場與其父親提摩太·韋斯特的錄像演出對演，兩人均是英國劇場獲獎無數的表表者。音樂方面，有威格摩爾大賽首獎得主伊斯美弦樂四重奏，以及既演且唱的女高音瑪麗·貝凡，獲頒英國員佐勳章的她獲《歌劇》雜誌盛讚「極具天賦，聲音控制力強」。

The concept of this key visual is to use the abstract form of liquid shapes to present convergence, interaction and release. Visually fuzzy but clear. Such abstract form looks like as if it centralised in a glass box. Additionally, the contrasting colours — the fluorescent red and green — which represents different performing groups from all over the world at the Hong Kong Arts Festival, splendid as it is, where you can find exciting programmes.

主視覺的概念是利用液體變化的抽象形態來呈現出匯聚、交流與釋放。視覺上展示出模糊與清晰的效果，用意是要把這抽象形態猶如集中於一個玻璃箱內，再加上螢光紅色與綠色的營造衝擊，代表著世界各地的不同表演團體，重新凝聚於香港藝術節，繼續發光發亮，邁步向前，帶來更多更精采的節目。
