The Studio D project - On the Way

Nowadays, some delivery industries are also excavating the future tend and have their own way to deal with the delivery revolution. All of them are related to cutting edge technology such as drone. Hence, the biggest issue is what the city would be in the future? And what architecture can contribute to this delivery system progress.
The inspiration of some movies gave me idea about what is future, and what is the start point when I design the story.

In the movie with four characters which include customer, parcel, container and receiver, we can have different perspectives to observe whole delivery system and a simple story. In each part, different number of shots also create different emotion and narrative. For example, the warehouse scene has long time but just have four shot, it aims to create continuity of arranging in warehouse.
Aside from quantity of shots, different angles and types of shot in each scene are important to capture different phases of system. The camera follows character and present the city blueprint overlap delivery activities.
The structure of film is start from one simple shopping behavior. Along with the track of delivery drones and container, four phases of system and the relationship between urban environment and conveyance are completed.

This film presents just one version of possible future. There is huge potential of future delivery system since technology are still developing. And my film propose is excavating the opportunity of architectural contribution in this delivery progress process. Moreover, to prove no matter what kind of future technology will happened and what behavior future people will have, architecture is still a relevant character in this society.

The Studio E project - GREY CUBE GALLERY

Museum is kind of database to collect real data such as artwork and heritage. Moreover, display these data through different methodologies.

This gallery experience aims to let people focus on different senses in different situations, also connect real and virtual through feeling of touching. Furthermore, the movement of touching become a mediator to switch two different gallery environment which are black cube and white cube. Audiences have many opportunities to engage with not only collection but also the whole gallery space.

Water shortage and population growth are ongoing rapidly in Melbourne. There is not enough space volume for developing water reuse facilities in the city area. Moreover, climate change influences the raining situation in Victoria state. Hence, water reusing and collecting might not be plenty for a sustainable city project.

My argument is how to solve the water shortage issue by proposing a new architecture approach. Aside from reusing and collecting, I believe that using natural water resource straight and educating citizens the information about water catchment background are two principles which should be considered in future sustainable architecture.

In the project, I add groundwater resource idea into this water sustainability architecture. Moreover, utilizing two main concepts, “stepwell” and “natural water catchment”. I try to let the architecture be a part of the natural water treatment process. Furthermore, let people understand the water culture through this building.
