What is the Y2K style?
As you may have guessed from the name, Y2K style refers to the fashion from back in the early 2000’s when graphic T-shirts, double denim, rhinestones, and low-rise jeans took the world by storm.
Gen Z nostalgia and celebrity endorsement fueled the trend at the same time that it redefined the very essence of Y2K fashion. Today, there are a variety of looks that can be considered Y2K with just a touch of nostalgia. Here we list some categories and explain how you can join the trend with some styling and photo editing.


With an authentic vintage vibe, you can master the nostalgia Y2K style. Double denim, graphic T-shirts from ED HARDY and Fiorucci , and bandanas can really make the look.We recommend the Butterfly top from Blumarine as it combines butterflies, an iconic Y2K aesthetic element, with denim. I mean, it doesn’t get much more Y2K than that.
As for editing, try out a vintage filter to strengthen the nostalgia vibe of your look. Warm, grainy filters are a great fit.
