This weekend we visited the Masai market to stock up on all of our food essentials. January is the start of a new school year in Tanzania and we're so excited to start 2024 with some new and old faces. We are looking forward to a year filled with tasty meals, fellowship with friends and learning!

Exciting things are happening 🤗 We're expanding out cooking area and adding two VERY large stoves. This will allow us to serve more daily meals and accommodate the increase in school attendance. Thank you / Asante sana!

✨2022✨was a great year and we have you, our supporters, to thank for that. We ended the year with a special meal of Pilau (spiced rice and meat), mango and soda! The students requested soda as a little treat this year and so, we decided to fulfill their wish. They were super excited about it!! 🤗 All of these foods are considered a luxury here in the village, something quite difficult for us in Canada to understand. Rice is not grown in the village and only purchased on special occasions. Fruit cannot be grown in the village due to dry soil/climate and it's quite expensive to import into the area. And lastly, soda is a rare treat as the children have no access to sweets. In January, we will start a brand new school year with more students enrolling - our program continues to grow! We are so grateful for this past year and cannot wait for 2023! HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM NOURISH TANZANIA! 🌍💛
