Ni ishara ya kuanza rasmi kipindi cha KWARESMA siku 40 ambazo makanisa yanatuarika kuishika njia ya MSALABA na KUTAFAKARI UPENDO WA KRISTU.

Tunapo pakwa majivu katika paji la uso tunaalikwa kutubu na kuiamini INJILI na kukumbushwa pia sisi wanadamu U Mavumbi na Mavumbini utarudi

Pia kupakwa majivu ni ishara ya toba na majuto ya dhambi zetu. Hivyo kipindi hichi ni ishara ya

kufunga,kusali,kutubu,na kufanya matendo ya huruma na kanisa pia linatupatia nafasi ya semina,mafungona njia ya msalaba ili kuitafakari mienendo yetu katika kipindi hichi cha kwaresma.

WEDNESDAY ASH
It is a sign of the official start of the LENTEN season of 40 days in which the churches invite us to follow the path of the CROSS and REFLECT ON THE LOVE OF CHRIST.

When we are smeared with ashes on our foreheads we are invited to repent and believe the GOSPEL and we are also reminded that we humans made is Dust and Dust will return.

The anointing of the ashes is also a sign of repentance and remorse for our sins. So this period is a symbol of fasting, prayer, repentance, and acts of compassion and the church also gives us the opportunity to seminar, fast the way of the cross to reflect on our conduct during this Lenten season.
