During our visit to Ngara (town and Kabanga) on the buses stands area, where children are living and working on the streets. We also met children who travel to nearby regions like Mwanza, Geita, and Kahama District in search of work or who already have work addresses. No one left behind." Committed continues to provide support to children who are living alone in the streets in Kyerwa, Biharamulo, Ngara, Bukoba, and Bukoharamulo.

On our last day, we meet with children who live alone on the streets in Biharamulo, where we talk more about alternative care and how to build a better future. 

The project wants to reach more children who are most in need of support in Kagera districts like Biharamulo, Kyerwa, and Ngara. 

The morning of today, we are continuing to visit the streets and villages of Biharamulo District to collect data on child labor, child trafficking, and children living alone in the streets.

For the last week, the HEKIMA team has been on a field trip through the different districts around Bukoba. For our new added project 'Child Trafficking and Child Labour' the team went out to collect data for our research. As we strike for child protection, it is important to understand the issue and work closely with those who are effected by it. The preparation started a long time ago by establishing a well thought questionnaire and a workshop for professional interviewing. Now the team is in the field, finding families and children in danger and collecting data. We put our whole heart into our work. Every year thousands of children are trafficked by criminal groups and illicit traffickers operating within and across the borders of Tanzania, causing children to become increasingly unsafe. The children Hekima strives protect are at the forefront of these heinous crimes, fighting against this cruelty and their lives alone. We dedicate ourselves to facilitating effective responses to helping these victims recover from domestic servitude, sexual exploitation and child labour through our caring team and day centres that aim to help these children get back on track in a safe and secure environment. However, this is still not enough and human trafficking is an ongoing problem. This week the Executive Director of HEKIMA, Majaliwa Chui joined the workshop for the development of a strategy plan to end child marriage in Tanzania. HEKIMA is a member of the TECMN Network. Protecting children and their rights, ensure their safety is most important. They are innocent human, being exposed by the cruelty of this world.
