THE 6TH MUCE GRADUATION CEREMONY
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO GRADUANDS
All MUCE candidates who have successfully completed their studies and
qualify for the University of Dar es Salaam Degree Award in 2013/2014
academic year are hereby informed that the GRADUATION CEREMONY for
conferment of these awards will be held as follows:
MUCE 6TH GRADUATION CEREMONY
Date: 29th November, 2014 at 08:00 am
Venue: College Sport Grounds (Graduation grounds)
Graduands intending to participate in the Graduation Ceremony should write to
the Graduation Ceremony Committee as follows:

The letter should reach the respective office not later than 15th November, 2014.
Graduands wishing to hire academic costumes will be required to collect, fill
and return Agreement Forms to the respective office at least one day before the
date for collection of the costumes indicated. Agreement forms can be collected
from the Admissions and Examinations Office, MUCE/BLK/002 Building,
Mkwawa University College of Education.
Interested graduands will be required to pay a non-refundable hire fee of Tshs.
42,000/= as follows: Tshs 40,000/= being the cost of hiring the Graduation
costume plus Tsh 2,000/= as Convocation fee, at least two (2) days before the
date indicated for the collection of the Graduation costumes. The costumes
MUST be returned within three (3) days after the Graduation as per the
Agreement.
All payments should be made to the CRDB Bank, Mkwawa University
College, Account No. 01J1071134815, before the Graduation costumes can be
collected.
Graduation costumes will be issued at MUCE Estates Department, only
against the original MUCE receipt and filled Agreement Forms on the
following dates for all Graduands:
1. Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FoHSS)
Monday 17th November, 2014 from 11:00am to 4:00pm
Tuesday 18th November, 2014 from 11:00am to 4:00pm
Wednesday 19th November, 2014 from 11:00am to 4:00pm
2. Faculty of Education (FoED)
Thursday 20th November, 2014 from 11:00am to 4:00pm
Friday 21st November, 2014 from 11:00am to 4:00pm
3. Faculty of Science (FoSc.)
Monday 24th November, 2014 from 11:00am to 4:00pm
Tuesday 25th November, 2014 from 11:00am to 4:00pm
Note: Graduation costumes will not be issued after 25th November, 2014.
All Graduands will meet their own travel, lodging and incidental
expenses.
All Graduands expecting to take part in the Graduation Ceremony shall be
required to attend a compulsory Rehearsal on Friday 28th November, 2014
starting at 2:00 pm at the College Sports grounds otherwise they will not be
allowed to participate in the Graduation Ceremony. Prize Award Ceremony for
best performing students will take place concurrently on the same day and
venue.

Celebrating Mkwawa Day Event
Did you graduate/work at St. Michael’s & St. George’s School (1959 – 1964); Mkwawa High
School for A – Level (1964 – 1977); Teacher’s Training College (1977- 1992); Mkwawa High
School for A – Level (1992 – 2005); Mkwawa University College of Education – MUCE
(2005 – 2013)?
Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) will be celebrating Mkwawa Day every
year on 28th November. For this year, celebrations marking the Mkwawa Day will take place
from 24th to 29th November, 2014 where various activities will be carried out including
Launching of Publications (Memoir Publications, Mkwawa Historical Publications & Mkwawa
Newsletter), Mkwawa Sports Bonanza, Tree Planting, Guided Tour to various Historical
Sites & National Parks and Cultural Entertainment. All Mkwawa alumni (previous students
and workers) are highly encouraged to participate by;
Attending the Mkwawa Day Event – a get together with other Mkwawa Alumni
from all over the world.
Registering on our website (www.muce.ac.tz), or filling in the registration forms
which are now available in PRO’s office, MUCE. The same are also available in
the office of admissions at Mwalimu Nyerere campus (UDSM Main Campus) and
at Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE).
