"Our American partners are actively promoting [Artemis]. In our view Lunar Gateway in its current form is too US-centric. Russia is likely to refrain from participating in it on a large scale," said Dmitry Rogozin, the head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos.
"This being said, we are interested in making sure that the design of the docking module will enable [Russia's future Orel crew] spacecraft to dock to the Lunar Gateway."
The satellite sent back its last data just before diving to destruction in the giant world's atmosphere in 2017.
"Previous estimates of the age of Saturn's rings required a lot of modelling and were far more uncertain. But we now have direct measurements that allows us to constrain the age very well," Luciano Iess from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, told BBC News.
The professor's team has published an account of its work with Cassini in Science magazine.
This should eventually see two perfectly cross-calibrated spacecraft making neatly interleaved observations of the planet. Production of the Sentinel-3 series is led industrially from France, by Thales Alenia Space, but benefits from the contributions of 100 or so companies across Europe, including from the UK.
Britain has had the core responsibility of testing the Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometers (SLSTR) on each spacecraft.
Electricity giant SSEN Transmission said the projects could see the wider SSE Group's investment exceed £24bn this decade, and lead to "directly alleviating the UK's energy crisis".
The company has proposed:
Two 2GW subsea high-voltage direct current (HVDC) links from Peterhead to England, both of which to be taken forward as joint ventures with National Grid Electricity Transmission
A 2GW subsea HVDC link from Spittal connecting to Peterhead
A 1.8GW subsea HVDC cable from Arnish in Lewis in the Western Isle to the Scottish mainland to deliver electricity to a substation at Beauly in the Highlands
Improvements to powerlines between Beauly, Blackhillock, New Deer and Peterhead, between Beauly, Loch Buidhe and Spittal and between Kintore, Tealing and Westfield
Work on the existing Beauly to Denny line to enable 400kV operation on both its circuits
This is a peer-reviewed document that for the past 17 years has been charting climate impacts in the polar north - one of the fastest warming regions on Earth.
It tracks key Arctic indicators, or "vital signs", and this year sees precipitation added to this list for the first time.
Prof John Walsh from University of Alaska Fairbanks said the sparseness of monitoring stations in the Arctic, especially out over the ocean, had always made it extremely difficult to judge some weather trends. But by taking two independent analytical approaches - using the data that does exist and a global climate model - it was now possible to get a meaningful picture.
The UK has long been seen as a leader in green technology, in particular offshore wind, but this position is at risk.
"Other places (in the world) are really setting out their stalls for how they're going to capture that investment," says Tom Thackeray from the CBI who carried out the analysis, adding that there is now a "global competition" for green funding.
The passing last year of landmark legislation in the United States called the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) has, analysts say, changed the global dynamic for green investment. The Bill puts aside $369bn (£297bn) for action related to tackling climate change and many companies now see America as the best destination for their money.
Five million seagrass seeds will be planted off Wales' coast to create climate change-fighting underwater meadows.
On Wednesday, 50,000 were laid at Penychain off the Llŷn Peninsula in Gwynedd.
Seagrass Ocean Rescue wants 10 hectares (25 acres) of seagrass meadow by 2026.
WWF Cymru's Rory Francis said Wales had lost 92% of its seagrass over the past 100 years, but it was possible to "recreate, restore and replant" it.
Some of the jewellery had surfaced before; Douglas Latchford included five items from the collection in a book titled Khmer Gold that he co-wrote with his collaborator, Emma Bunker, in 2008. Khmer antiquities expert Ashley Thompson describes this book and two others as elaborate sales brochures, giving private collectors a taste of what was being sold illegally behind the scenes.
The Sun's energy can be collected much more efficiently in space because there is neither night nor clouds. The idea has been around for more than 50 years, but it has been too difficult and too expensive to implement, until maybe now.
The game-changer has been the plummeting cost of launches, thanks to reusable rockets and other innovations developed by the private sector. But there have also been advances in robotic construction in space and the development of technology to wirelessly beam electricity from space to Earth.
