Picturesque peonies

The peony is considered the state flower in China and India. In addition, the peony is a symbol of the US state of Indiana.

In China, the flower took pride of place in the imperial gardens. It was considered a symbol of nobility and prosperity; here you can find whole gardens of peonies. And today the peony has not lost its significance. Flower images are placed in apartments and offices to attract prosperity and good luck.

Place a bouquet of peonies in a place where diffused light enters. The room temperature should be comfortable - not hot and not cold.

Pour just enough water into the container so that the peony stems go exactly half into the water.

Cut each peony flower stem at a steep angle to allow the flowers to better absorb liquid. The procedure should be done under running cold water.

In Russian history in the 16th century, peonies grew both in monasteries and in royal gardens.
