Have you ever experienced body hate? Am talking about that place where you feel that your physical body is not perfect and you need to have it reconstructed?

I realised that we start hating out bodies when we think that something is wrong if we don't match a popularized body stereotype or look different than those around us.

The body's aesthetic is not the only thing to love about it. There's also it's functionality and that should come first.

If, say your nose or eyes function well, why try to get them knifed?

When the Psalmist insists that in God's presence is fullness of joy, it means that your absence in God's presence will definitely leave you drained of Joy.

Have you been praying regularly lately? Have you been responding to moments of sadness, weariness, or loneliness by rushing to the word of God to get yourself reminded of his promises or you've instead been choosing to distract yourself with movies and the company of friends who do not even point you back to God's goodness?

So, anytime you're unhappy, push yourself to God. If you feel like you don't have the words to say to Him in prayer, ask him to speak to you; He always has something to say to us his children and He said we can hear his voice.

It could be a job that you need to abound to every good work; whatever it is, remind God of his promise, He will come through.

There was a season in my life when I experienced people who were hurtful in deeds and words. Their actions and words imprinted a message on my mind that translated that I wasn't worthy and that I can not be good at anything. I remember having a time period when I could not act on my goals because every time I tried, I felt hopeless and anxious that my efforts wouldn't pay off. I also felt hopeless about ever finding someone to love me. All these were lies intended to freeze me and stop me from pursuing my purpose.

Continually seeking and praying to God in that Dark Valley, I was reminded of Habakkuk 2:3, that the vision is for an appointed time. That Phrase healed me from reminiscing on my painful past because I chose to believe that back then was not the appointed time, rather, now could be.

Knowing that God's words are the only ones that speak the truth about me I started speaking it over myself.

Where I felt Condemned, I declared that "There is no condemnation upon me who is in Christ Jesus". Discouraged by past failures, I declared that "My vision is for an appointed time, even if it Tarry, it will not lie, it will come to pass", and that
"My dreams are valid regardless of who dismissed them"

The more I declared the truth the more I dismissed the lies in my mind. Today I am free and no longer being held back by past hurtful deeds and words. If it worked for me, It can work for you too.

Love yourself they say, but how can you do it if you have not fully understood how much God loved you?
Pray to the Holy Spirit to give you a deeper understanding of God’s love for you.
