📍We are currently at Kasana Junior School, Luweero District conducting Menstrual Hygiene Management Training and giving more information about MakaPads.
These girls skip school because they can't afford sanitary pads & they have to look for water to wash the clothes they bleed into!
You can help us to help such girls stay in school, our pads are disposable yet affordable! Give us your donations - our packets (contain 10 pads) cost Ushs.2,500 meaning with UGX 10,000 you buy 4 packets and bless 4 girls with a chance to stay in school.

DID YOU KNOW!?
We include boys in our Menstrual Hygiene Management Trainings!
📌Boys need to understand what menstruation is and how they can help girls overcome challenges that come with it.
📌Including boys in menstrual health education helps to combat period stigma and bullying/teasing associated with menstruation.
📌The boys at Jjungo Primary School, Wakiso District were inquisitive and we answered all their questions. After which, were given to the girls.
📌We thank the school administrators for making this training possible & every single person that has purchased . You make it possible for us to conduct Menstrual Health Training in rural areas. 👏
Have a blessed new week!
🌹As part of our aim to keep girls in school, recently we visited St Kizito Primary School, Mpigi District and gave out sanitary pads to all female P.7 candidates.
🌹We first conducted a Menstrual Hygiene Management training (which is attended by both girls and boys) to help everyone understand the importance of menstrual hygiene and combat stigma associated with periods.
🌹With their final exams around the corner, there is need for girls to be given a chance to concentrate on their studies with less worry about their periods.
🌹Period poverty makes girls miss out on school and halts their possibility to a bright future. You can change a girl's story by purchasing which are given to the girls.

🚨 INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST VIOLENCE & BULLYING AT SCHOOL.
"Among 1,000 girls in the UK aged between 14 and 21, 20% have experienced teasing or bullying around their periods" Domestic poll by Plan UK Charity in 2019.
All over the world, girls are missing school because they are being made to feel ashamed about their period. This is having an overlooked impact on their education.
At MakaPads, we carry out Menstrual Hygiene Management Training in schools. We ensure that both boys and girls attend each session inorder to combat period stigma and make boys understand that menstruation is a normal part of every girl's life.
Get involved today! Protect school girls from being bullied because blood is not disgusting. It is normal!
