THE TWO KINGDOMS
“For he who persists in evil, and is the servant of evil, cannot be made a portion of good so long as he persists in evil, because from the beginning, as we have said, God instituted two kingdoms, and has given to each man the power of becoming a portion of that kingdom to which he shall yield himself to obey.

And since it is decreed by God that no one man can be a servant of both kingdoms, therefore endeavour with all earnestness to betake yourselves to the covenant and laws of the good King. Wherefore also the true Prophet, when He was present with us, and saw some rich men negligent with respect to the worship of God, thus unfolded the truth of this matter: ‘No one,’ said He, ‘can serve two masters; ye cannot serve God and mammon;’ calling riches, in the language of His country, mammon.

JESUS TRUE PROPHET

“He therefore is the true Prophet, who appeared to us, as you have heard, in Judæa, who, standing in public places, by a simple command made the blind see, the deaf hear, cast out demons, restored health to the sick, and life to the dead; and since nothing was impossible to Him, He even perceived the thoughts of men, which is possible for none but God only.

He proclaimed the kingdom of God; and we believed Him as a true Prophet in all that He spoke, deriving the confirmation of our faith not only from His words, but also from His works; and also because the sayings of the law, which many generations before had set forth His coming, were fulfilled in Him; and the figures of the doings of Moses, and of the patriarch Jacob before him, bore in all respects a type of Him.

It is evident also that the time of His advent, that is, the very time at which He came, was foretold by them; and, above all, it was contained in the sacred writings, that He was to be waited for by the Gentiles. And all these things were equally fulfilled in Him.

If Adam and Eve had stayed in the Garden of Eden in their state of sin, and had eaten of the fruit of life and lived eternally cut off from God, it would have been terrible for them. Similar for us, being in hell where you are cut off from God totally and definitively is terrible. Both are states of eternal hopelessness.
God was actually showing His love by sending them away from Eden, far from the tree of life, so that he could rescue them by sending His son and giving them a chance to come back to Him.

God initiates the road towards forgiveness and healing. God does not cease to provide for His children, even though they turn away from Him. Despite their recent sin Adam and Eve are clothed by the Lord! This love and care reflects the bridal imagery shown throughout the Old Testament -- even when Israel is an unfaithful bride, the Lord is a faithful bridegroom. He always will be.

6 MATES YOU MUST MARRY

One of the ways your marriage will not add to the rate of divorce in our world today is for you to marry your mate and if you are married already, make your spouse your mate! You see that statement of ‘ Am I your mate?’ does not apply in marriage. You must marry your mate. I will like to talk on seven dimensions you and the person you want to marry or you have married must be mate.

1. MARRY_YOUR_SPEAKING_MATE
Marry someone you can speak together and understand each other. Communication is very crucial in marriage. Don’t marry someone that, when you are saying ‘A’ he or she will be saying ‘ Z’ Once there is dichotomy in your speaking and understanding level, you can’t enjoy that marriage. So many men go to bar to hang out with friends and gist till 11pm because they know their wives can’t engage in any meaningful intellectual discussion. So many women too prefer to hang out with their friends, because they know their husbands mentality when it comes to vital issues and discussions is very low. Marry your speaking Mate.

2. MARRY_YOUR_SCHOOL_MATE By this I mean, marry someone you can learn together and improve together. Don’t marry ‘ Mr Know all’ or ‘Miss Know all’. Don’t marry someone who is rigid and not open to new ideas, new ways of doing things, or new innovations. Marriage is a great institution. From day one till death do you part, you will keep learning. Marry your ‘school’ mate; someone who is ready to learn with you.

3. MARRY_YOUR_SPIRITUAL_MATE
Marriage is not just a social union. It is also a spiritual union. Marry someone who knows the same God you know. Don’t marry someone who’s believe of God is different from yours. Two can’t work together except they be agreed ( Amos 3:3, Joshua 23: 11-15, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18). The spiritual controls the physical, even in marriage. Check for spiritual compatibility in that person you want to marry.
4. MARRY_YOUR_SPENDING_MATE
Don’t marry someone who is stingy. There are so many expenses to cater for in marriage. A stingy guy in courtship won’t suddenly become a generous husband in marriage. Don’t marry a lady that has the financial philosophy of ‘ My husband’s money is our money, but my money is my money’. Marry someone who believes in dignity of labour , who is ready to work, not a lazy fellow who just want to be a consumer and not a contributor. Marry someone who is ready to spend and be spent for the growth and success of the family.

5. MARRY_YOUR_SEX_MATE
Marry someone you have s*xual feelings for. S*xual feeling is not a sin. It is an instinct God put in every person. S*x plays a major role in the success of any marriage. Any man you don’t have emotional feelings for, don’t marry the person. If you don’t have emotional feelings for that lady, leave her alone. A spiritual being is also a s*xual being. No matter how spiritual you both may be in your marriage, you won’t be praying for 24 hours in a day. You won’t be reading the Bible or worshiping God 24/7. You will have s*x! You will romance! You will flirt with each other! You will make babies. So, marry someone you can connect with s*xually. It will help you to enjoy your marriage so much!
6. MARRY_YOUR_SOCIAL_MATE
Don’t marry someone you won’t be proud to go out with. Don’t marry someone you will be feeling shy to introduce to people with boldness. Marry someone you are comfortable to hang out with. Marry someone you are socially compatible with. Don’t marry an anti- social person. You might be wondering if you can find all the ‘mates’ in one person. Yes! The answer is YES! You don’t need to marry 6 guys/ladies to have all these mates. One person can be all that for you. If you also work on yourself and build your life, you can be all that for the guy/lady that will marry you. The promise of God for you is this : ‘Seek and read from the book of the LORD: Not one of these shall be missing; none shall be without her mate. For the mouth of the LORD has commanded, and his Spirit has gathered them.’ (Isaiah 34:16). Say it loud and clear ‘ I shall not lack a mate!.

When it comes to this highly criticized ministry,from days of old i surely know that not everyone can subject themselves as vessels in this area,yet they may even attack those who do so. JUST SAYING
If you marry someone, you are marrying everything about that person. Kingdom people marrying kingdom people is not a suggestion but imperative.
Also even still that's a decision we have to make with diligence.
If you marry a pastor or overseer type leader, you are also marrying that mission of overseeing and sheparding.

If you marry a prophet, you are marrying the firey furnace of refining in God's blacksmith shop, along with their very peculiar lifestyle.
If you marry a teacher you are marrying their devotion to study.
If you marry an evangelist you are marrying their passionate assignment for souls.
If you marry an intercessor, you are marrying prayer.
Apostles? It seems like they are all married(sorry thats a pun)
If you marry any Kingdom citizen, you are marrying their passion as well there imperfections.. also if they have kids, then you are marrying their kids.
And if you marry someone wounded, you are marrying their wounds.
If you marry an unbeliever you are marrying unbelief.

As far as any kingdom marriage, you are to be completely bonded and twined together.
I don't say this because I'm some expert or really even qualified to advise, but I did make a mistake with marriage and learned a hard lesson.
If I ever do decide to marry again, it will be a very careful decision with a lot of Holy Spirit leading and wise council.
I see a lot of believing singles looking to mingle... please choose wisely. Let God show you and get wise council.
Its the second most important decision you will ever make.

PERFECT LOVE
Jesus said the two most important requirements of Christianity are: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself" (Luke 10:27)
It was the second of those Great Commandments that the First Century Jewish lawyer tried to use to trap Jesus. In response, Jesus stood His ground, insisting that the worship of God was only one side of the coin. The other side is the Good Samaritan type of involvement in practical, caring ministries.
What Jesus was trying to say that our love for God must be accompanied by an increasing sensitivity to human needs. This is the perfect love that we preach about: perfect in its intensity toward God and perfect in its all-inclusiveness as regards other human beings. We do not keep these two commandments to provide a selling point for Christianity. We keep them simply because that's the kind of radical lifestyle to which Christ calls us as we try to live for Him in a world that is sin-infested, pleasure-bloated, and on an ego trip.

Archbishop Idahosa and Bishop Oyedepo on Difference Between Multitudes and Disciples

Bishop David Oyedepo recently stated in one of his admonitions on prayer “We are to replace multitudes with ‘disciples’ or ‘followers’ in all our kingdom advancement prayers."

He further stated that GOD revealed to him that ‘after every event multitudes depart but only disciples remain.’ Hence, we should no longer be praying for abiding multitudes but rather replace multitudes with ‘abiding disciples’ or ‘Limit Breaking followers’ in all kingdom advancement prayers.

However, no soon after, a video emerged of Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory speaking on the same topic while on a preaching engagement in the United Kingdom during one of his last messages in the late 90s.

Archbishop Idahosa explains here the difference between Disciples and Multitudes and emphasizes that most people in church today are Multitudes not Disciples. Their views are in line with the Parable of the Sower as emphasized by the Lord Jesus Christ himself.

Why did he send the multitude away?
Many times God have no confidence on the multitude.

HOMEJESUS, LAZARUS, AND FRIENDSHIP

Was Lazarus Jesus’ friend? Jesus’ love for Lazarus is a familiar human sentiment. When he learns that Lazarus is ill, Jesus stays in Bethany two extra days out of affection for him. Yet he then leaves for Jerusalem, though he knows that Lazarus will die, because Lazarus’s death and resurrection will enhance God’s glory. When he becomes aware of Lazarus’s death, Jesus is deeply troubled, as any friend would be, to the point of weeping; yet he soon brings him back to life.

The Church Fathers and scholars since have wondered whether Jesus experienced genuine grief or a simulation of it—or perhaps both, since he was human and divine. Leaving these questions to the theologians, we may ask how Jesus’ feelings for Lazarus reflected attitudes toward friendship in Jesus’ own time.

In classical Greek, the noun philia is the broadest term for “love” (but not in the erotic sense), and when the affection is mutual between two people (most often males) it is regularly translated as “friendship.” Friendship was hugely important in classical society: Aristotle devoted fully one-fifth of his treatise on ethics to philia. Yet the word is found only once in the New Testament, at Jas 4:4: “friendship with the world is enmity with God.” In turn, philos, or “friend,” occurs relatively rarely (29 times).

The Gospels speak of a “friend of sinners” (Matt 11:19, Luke 7:34), but philos may also be used of ordinary friends, especially in parables (e.g., Luke 11:5). Perhaps the classical ideal of friendship, with its emphasis on conventional (and mainly masculine) virtues, was too narrow for a community that fostered universal fellow feeling among believers, or too secular. On the whole, the New Testament prefers the vocabulary of kinship—brothers and sisters—to describe bonds among the faithful.

Now, when Jesus says to the disciples, “our friend Lazarus is asleep,” he indeed uses the word philos. Later, when the Jews see Jesus weeping, they say that he really loved Lazarus, employing the related verb philein. Only here in the New Testament is Jesus said to cry (dakruein); Martha and the sympathetic Jews are said rather to bewail (klaiein) Lazarus’ death. Jesus’ affection for Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, on the contrary, is expressed rather by the verb agapan, “cherish,” corresponding to the noun agapê, which appears first in Christian texts (both noun and verb occur over 100 times in the New Testament).

When the disciples misunderstand Jesus’ euphemistic statement that Lazarus is asleep, Jesus declares more plainly that he is dead. The word for “plainly” is parrhêsia, which means “frankness” or “candor,” a quality that was regarded as a sign of true friendship as opposed to flattery or dissimulation. This may be a further indication that John, or John’s source, was thinking in terms of classical friendship here.

Were Jesus and Lazarus, then, friends in the classical sense, like those famous pairs, Orestes and Pylades or Theseus and Pirithous, in Greek mythology? Should we, moreover, include Mary and Martha in Jesus’ circle of friends, although he speaks only of Lazarus as “our philos”? Is Jesus’ love for Lazarus special, going beyond the solidarity of the group of “friends”? Good questions, all.

For thou art the cause that the woman was so affected, and by her lusting after thee was guilty of adultery with thee: yet art thou not so guilty, because thou didst not send to her, who was ensnared by thee; nor didst thou desire her. Since, therefore, thou didst not deliver up thyself to her, thou shalt find mercy with the Lord thy God, who hath said, “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” and, “Thou shalt not covet.” For if such a woman, upon sight of thee, or unseasonable meeting with thee, was smitten in her mind, and sent to thee, but thou as a religious person didst refuse her, if she was wounded in her heart by thy beauty, and youth, and adorning, and fell in love with thee, thou wilt be found guilty of her transgressions, as having been the occasion of scandal to her, and shalt inherit a woe. Thus, do not thou permit the hair of thy head to grow too long, but rather cut it short; lest by a nice combing thy hair, and wearing it long, and anointing thyself, thou draw upon thyself such ensnared or ensnaring women. Neither do thou wear over-fine garments to seduce any; neither do thou, with an evil subtilty, affect over-fine stockings or shoes for thy feet, but only such as suit the measures of decency and usefulness. For God the Creator has made this decent for women, but has determined that it is unsuitable for men. But if thou do these things to please men, in contradiction to the law, thou wilt be abominable with God, who created thee after His own image. If, therefore, thou wilt be acceptable to God, abstain from all those things which He hates, and do none of those things that are unpleasing to Him.

That We Ought Not to Be Over-Curious About Those Who Live Wickedly, But to Be Intent Upon Our Own Proper Employment.

IV. Thou shalt not be as a wanderer and gadder abroad, rambling about the streets, without just cause, to spy out such as live wickedly. But by minding thy own trade and employment, endeavour to do what is acceptable to God. And keeping in mind the oracles of Christ, meditate in the same continually. For so the Scripture says to thee: “Thou shalt meditate in His law day and night; when thou walkest in the field, and when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up, that thou mayest have understanding in all things.” 2560 Nay, although thou beest rich, and so dost not want a trade for thy maintenance, be not one that gads about, and walks abroad at random; but either go to some that are believers, and of the same religion, and confer and discourse with them about the lively oracles of God:—

Concerning a Bad Woman.

For let us learn what the sacred word says in the book of Wisdom: “My son, keep my words, and hide my commandments with thee. Say unto Wisdom, Thou art my sister; and make understanding familiar with thee: that she may keep thee from the strange and wicked woman, in case such a one accost thee with sweet words. p. 394 For from the window of her house she looks into the street, to see if she can espy some young man among the foolish children, without understanding, walking in the market-place, in the meeting of the street near her house, and talking in the dusk of the evening, or in the silence and darkness of the night.

A woman meets him in the appearance of an harlot, who steals away the hearts of young persons. She rambles about, and is dissolute; her feet abide not in her house: sometimes she is without, sometimes in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner. Then she catches him, and kisses him, and with an impudent face says unto him, I have peace-offerings with me; this day do I pay my vows: therefore came I forth to meet thee; earnestly I have desired thy face, and I have found thee. I have decked my bed with coverings; with tapestry from Egypt have I adorned it. I have perfumed my bed with saffron, and my house with cinnamon. Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning; come, let us solace ourselves with love,” etc. To which he adds: “With much discourse she seduced him, with snares from her lips she forced him.

He goes after her like a silly bird.” And again: “Do not hearken to a wicked woman; for though the lips of an harlot are like drops from an honey-comb, which for a while is smooth in thy throat, yet afterwards thou wilt find her more bitter than gall, and sharper than any two-edged sword.” And again: “But get away quickly, and tarry not; fix not thine eyes upon her: for she hath thrown down many wounded; yea, innumerable multitudes have been slain by her.” “If not,” says he, “yet thou wilt repent at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed, and wilt say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart has avoided the reproofs of the righteous!

I have not hearkened to the voice of my instructor, nor inclined mine ear to my teacher. I have almost been in all evil.” But we will make no more quotations; and if we have omitted any, be so prudent as to select the most valuable out of the Holy Scriptures, and confirm yourselves with them, rejecting all things that are evil, that so you may be found holy with God in eternal life.
