Proverbs 19:17, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.” This verse reminds us of the importance of showing kindness and generosity to those in need, including the elderly. May this verse inspire you to donate towards our mission to help the old and poor. 🙏❤️
Bringing smiles to the faces of our cherished elders. Together, let’s make a difference! ❤️
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:267): “O you who have believed, spend from the good things which you have earned and from that which We have produced for you from the earth. And do not aim toward the defective therefrom, spending [from that] while you would not take it [yourself] except with closed eyes. And know that Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.”
The Bible emphasizes the importance of caring for the poor and elderly, reflecting a spirit of compassion and love. In James 1:27 (NIV), it states, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” Additionally, Proverbs 14:31 (NIV) highlights, “Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.”
Acts of charity and kindness towards the less fortunate are often mentioned throughout the Bible, encouraging believers to extend a helping hand to those in need. Jesus’ teachings, as seen in Matthew 25:35-36, emphasize the significance of providing for those who are hungry, thirsty, or in need, portraying these acts as directly serving Him.

What is Ebola virus?
Ebola virus is a deadly disease which commonly affects people and non-human primates such as monkeys, gorillas and chimpanzees. However, scientists believe that it is animal-borne and most likely comes from bats which transmit the virus to other animals and humans. There is no proof that mosquitoes or other insects can transmit the virus.
How is the Ebola virus spread?
It spreads through contact with patients of the disease. This also includes contact with body fluids that include urine, blood, sweat, saliva, vomitus and stool.
How can Ebola virus be prevented?
The Ebola virus can be prevented through measures like frequent washing of hands, avoiding contact with affected people and isolation if affected to prevent the spread of the disease. It may also be prevented by maintaining proper sanitation and hygiene.
Attached below for your perusal are further guidelines from the Ministry of Health (MOH) on how to prevent the virus and contact details in case you have any symptoms;
