I CHOOSE LOVE
We must not just be recipients but givers! We must not just be keepers but donors! Giving brings relief and sharing enlightens the heart. Caring joins and showing love is life. It is never enough to acquire all acquisition. It is never enough to have all our ambitions.

ABOUT MAMA EDITH FOUNDER OF HOME OF HOPE
In 2002, Mama Edith's 2 year old son Derrick was diagnosed with meningitis and suffered brain damage leaving him severely disabled with frequent convulsions and breathing difficulties.
In dealing with her own son's disability, Edith came to know many other mothers, grandmothers and families in the Jinja community who were struggling terribly trying to cope with disabled children and grandchildren.
In 2007, Edith, with very limited funds and herself trying to re-cuperate from an accident which left her spinal cord and hip fractured, she started the Home of Hope for disabled children. Starting with 5 children as well as her son Derrick, Edith and her staff now care for almost 100 children - many with severe disabilities and some abandoned by parents and relatives unable to cope.
Home of Hope receives no government funding and Edith's monthly expenses for food, medications, surgeries & doctor's care, utilities, wheelchairs, equipment and staffing often exceeds the revenue from donations.
Thank you so much for taking a few minutes of your time to learn more about Edith's story and the journey of Home of Hope. Please consider Donating to Home of Hope.
Thank you and May God bless you.

Charity weekend
You have the opportunity to invest in a young family’s success today. Every gift, large or small, money makes a powerful difference in the life of a teen parent and their children.
Join me and the volunteer team for the teenage mother’s outreach on 08/05/22 in Galiraya , Kayunga District. God bless you.
RESTORING HOPE TO TEENAGE MOTHERS
According to the Ministry of Health, 25 per cent of Ugandan teenagers become pregnant by the age of 19. Close to half are married before they turn 18.
Uganda has one of the world’s highest maternal mortality rates, with 18 mothers dying every day in pregnancy or during and after childbirth.
The COVID-19 pandemic has also impacted all aspects of life in Uganda, resulting in school closures, loss of jobs, and disruptions in access to health and social services. But no group has felt the effects of the pandemic more than adolescent girls!
Many teenage mothers do not have access to adequate reproductive health care and die while trying to give life.
You have the opportunity to invest in a young family’s success today. Every gift, large or small, makes a powerful difference in the life of a teen parent and their child!
Join me and Joan Kem Cheriles (founder Gufasha Girl-child Foundation) as we celebrate Mother’s Day with Teenage mothers in Ggaliraya Subcounty, Kayunga District on 8/05/2022.
A blessed 2022! May God grant all your heart’s desires in this year! Thank you for the love, support and prayers.
Christmas is as much about giving as it is receiving. It’s embedded in our culture as a time where we give to those less fortunate than ourselves and to support more those that are in need!
Please join us once again as we put a smile on the children and Elderly of Home of Hope Jinja.
We welcome gifts in kind and in Cash. Home of Hope needs , pampers, liquid soap Dettol, Beddings , food , medicines and cloths for both staff and children. Give what you can. May God bless you all that have always supported our charity outreaches.
Let’s do this once again.
I never meant to go down the hard roads that I took ! it’s just how life turned out. I didn’t choose my story..My story chose me.
It’s been a tale of heartache and heartbreak,
falls and failures, struggle and loss.
But even more than that, my story is one of rising from the ashes, getting stronger with very mistake and becoming more beautiful after I was broken.
They called me distant, cold or unforgiving- that’s just because they didn’t bother to try to see the tears flowing down my silky skin!
Not to keep others out, but to protect myself
I have been hurt countless times before by lovers, friends, business associatees and even family..
Trust me I got a bitter taste in my mouth from it.
So, maybe now I don’t welcome everyone into my life with open arms, not because I’m self centered, but because I’m more careful now who lets get close to me!! I vowed never again to let the people who didn’t deserve my time or love past my walls..
Anyone who has gotten close to me has earned it- I’m worth that and so much more.
Most people don’t understand me always seem to have an opinion about me, but then, weaker people always put down the strongest souls that they can’t tame.
I’m not changing to please anyone and I’m not pretending to be anything I’m not ( NO FAKE GLAMOUR)
I’m real, passionate and always there for the people I love.. The rest have to prove they’re worth my affection.
Maybe I’m not the most popular person, but I would rather have a few amazing friends than countless fake ones.
So, don’t mistake my tough exterior- Those who know me know that I have a heart of gold!
I will always keep my head, standards and hopes high, because I’m driven to be better and always rise above the struggle of every day life.
So, when you meet me take in the beauty of a woman that’s been born again and broken in the fire of her life.
She’s one of a kind and rightfully so- she’s survived what most never could,
And she’s done it with a smile on her face and love in her heart.
I will always be that one lady that can’t be defined, contained or easily understood..Just the way I like it. It is and will always be ..With these affirmations,
May God bless my new Age.
It’s when I turned 30 that I realized that people who live RICH luxurious lifestyles don’t have RICH BANK ACCOUNTS!! Munange Joy wabwe Let me continue visiting the farm, bushes and Mountains to become wealthy because RICH AUNTIE VIBES ,can make you jealousy! Have a lovely weekend!
Never change who you are to please others. As long as you're causing no one trouble, why relinquish your uniqueness? Always be your truest self!
Dreams don’t have an expiration date!! Just because it’s delayed doesn’t mean it’s denied!! Do not give up in chasing your dreams !! Always follow your heart and go for what you want and what you were destined to become!! You’ve got this!!
When people look at me, they see what I want them to see. I will always seem happy and lucky without a care in the world, but it has been tough for the last 6months!! It’s always the worst at night!
Just because I don’t cry doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt!
Just because I don’t say anything doesn’t mean I don’t feel deeply!
And just because I don’t always share my feelings doesn’t mean I don’t have them!
Today you make 6months since you left us! I miss you daily, but truthfully today my soul is weary! Your children miss you more! Your son talks about you every night! Continue resting in peace Patrick Muchwa! You will forever be in our hearts!
In life we have to understand that there are limits on what people can give you!! It’s only takers that rarely don’t !!
I have fought all the wrong battles for all the wrong people who never genuinely really cared about me the way I deserved. I kept fighting when they stopped, leaving me holding unto the pieces of a broken heart and wondering why I held on so long when they wouldn’t!!
I want that one brave soul willing to hold my hand when things get hard, life gets tough and doesn’t leave... The one that looks me in the eye and tells me they love me and then backs it up.
I’m a handful some days while I’m a mess on other days..but I’m always real.
I’m always genuine, strong willed and loyal..
And I expect the same in return... No lukewarm passion, halfway love or weakness lives long in my world.
There’s just some days I feel lost.
I start off thinking I know what I want to do and what i want to accomplish and somewhere along the way, I get turned around and twisted inside out.
I write down all my goals and dreams, determined to make all of them happen.
Then life shows up and decides it has other plans.
I get frustrated to the point of tears and feel like pulling my hair out.
That’s when I have to take a step back and breathe.
Everything can seem so overwhelming when it happens all at once, but I’m learning not to let every detour, stumble and mistake ruin my mood and devastate my days.
I’m stronger than that.
I’ll find that place where my heart is full and my passions are on fire.
I’ve realized that life is a journey and that I can’t judge my progress and growth by the mishaps that slow me down.
All I can do is be better than I was yesterday and work to evolve even more for tomorrow.
Change is never easy, but it’s worth it.
I also know that it’s possible to be a masterpiece and a complete mess at the same time- I think I’ve perfected the concept.
Being me and living my best life is a victory in itself some days, so I’m going to keep charging forth with a positive mindset, a happy heart and a strong spirit.
Everything happens for a reason, and while I may not end up where I intended to go, I’ll always land in the places I’m meant to be.
It’s up to me to see the truths, learn the lessons and embrace the possibilities.
So, instead of being caught up and focusing on what’s gone wrong, I’m going to celebrate what’s right.
Life won’t always go as planned and there will always be those times that make me want to stay in bed and cry in the shower..
But I’m going to keep getting up, being strong and showing up.
Little by little, I’ll get closer to the me that I’ve always wanted to be.
Maybe it won’t be today or tomorrow, but soon, I’ll be able to look at the woman in the mirror with a smile and say..
“You did it..you got there.”
That will be one of the best days of my life..and I’m on my way.
