APPOINTMENT OF BAMUTURAKI JENIFER AS UGANDA AIRLINE GEN. MANAGER
Just a brief reminder, this was an appointment to appease and not the serve. If you think so read below;
Jenifer Bamuturaki is a daughter to late Bamuturaki George the former Kabarole North MP on DP ticket. My area of concern is the saying that George Bamuturaki was killed by Obote II regime for reasons that he was working with Museveni's NRA.
However, true information is that he ( George) was murdered by the NRA Black Bomber Urban Terrorism Hit Squard that attacked in anticipation that The Chief of Staff Oyito Ojok was still at his relative Mr. Akora's bar yet he had already moved out.
Also, to go dipper into this issue, this murder didn't only take the life of Bamuturaki George, it took big shots of UPC and it's allies such as Gen. Manager National Housing and Construction Corporation Mr. George Okawo who was appointed by UPC,Mr.Kaberinde Aernest Chairman UPC Kampala East and Eng. Abduel Nangwale the then Minister for Works, Transport and Housing appointed by Obote II.
So the notion that Bamunturaki was killed by Obote is a total fallacy and must not be taken serious, what is true is that he was murdered in cold blood by NRA in assumption that in the close area was the Army Chief of Staff Oyito Ojok.
So, for this who may know alittle more than I do, you may be in agreement that you cannot kill one George with all those government officials, but rather, some one would kill and make it sound as if you have been killed because of your party affiliation, remember, Museveni in 1980 was and Allie of DP though DP refused to join him in the bush war.
TO NOTE: YOU CAN USE THE INFORMATION BELOW THE WAY YOU WISH:
Mboijana the former Gen. Manager Uganda Airlines in whose house NRA was formed in Nirobi ofter the merger of PRA(Museveni) and UFT(Yusuf Lule) on 8th June 1981 died mysteriously.
Danis Muyizi was killed Infront of the sick mother in Kansanga and the daughter r***d. His death led to the current state of Uganda Airlines.
Former MP Soroti Central Hon. Danis Echwo former chirman Uganda Airlines was killed in Kansanga at his home.
So, the appointment of a Bumuturaki Jenifer without any due deligency is because the father's death was just the appointment.
*"Stop the illegal Operations in the City"-Lord Mayor*
The Lord mayor of Kampala Erias Lukwago together with members of the City Executive Committee have filed a case at high court seeking orders to remove the deployment of Army officers from City Street and stop the brutality of boda boda cyclists and street vendors.
Addressing the Press this morning, he stated that the current legal regime, vests the mandate of organizing and regulating trade order in the City in KCCA and the unilateral decisions of the Minister for Kampala and RCC to evict vendors and Boda Boda without options of licensing is illegal, ultra vires , irrational and unreasonable, stressing that the operations are having little to do with trade order rather a security operation sanctioned by the National security council.
He warned that the decree by the Minister and RCC to reduce the numbers of Boda Boda riders to 7000 out of 200,000 is but a recipe for chaos.
The Lord Mayor who is seeking for orders of Certiorari, Prohibition, Mandamus and Injuction against the actions of the Minister for Kampala and RCC in a detailed petition to high court cautioned his detractors to stop the petty arguments that he doesn't wish for an organized City yet he has strived to put in to place several plans and ordinances to achieve the same.
He urged the Central government to focus on increasing funding to enable implementation of Kcca strategic plans which will resolve these challenges.
Present at the Press conference were: H/W Nyanjura Doreen, Hon.Olive Namazzi and Hon.John Mary Sebuufu who are applicants in the matter.

What a week.
Many Ugandans have been struggling to make ends meet in recent months due to rising prices on basic goods. Peaceful protests have taken place around the country, but the government continues to ignore the public's concerns.
In Bukedea, a peaceful demonstration in Kabarwa market demanding the government to intervene and reduce the prices on goods. The people in the market joined in the protest and expressed their concern on the high cost of purchasing goods from wholesalers owing to rising fuel prices, leaving them no choice but to sell high and attain some profits.
If I can't afford mere soap, how will I be able to buy other goods? said one of the buyers who later joined the protest. Join the campaign to arrest prices now.

FRANK SENTEZA.
Frank Senteza. That was his name. He was a son. He was a father. He was a brother. And we failed him. Not just the Military and the Uganda Police force is to blame. But we all bear responsibility for a system in Uganda that allows this to happen every day.
Hundreds of Ugandans took to social media in one of the greatest demonstrations for justice to say enough. Enough with the cold deaths of opposition supporters at the hands of police and the military. And they followed it up by making their voices heard at the ballot box, hoping to create an opportunity for policing reforms.
And we know we need change in how the police manages the election campaigns and opposition rallies.
Uganda has a painful history and, frankly, a painful present. Regardless of our tribes whether Baganda or Banyankole, we have ideals in this country about equal justice under the law and liberty and justice for all that are not being fulfilled.
On Frank’s anniversary, I am filled with anguish. I feel heartbroken not just from the murder of Frank, but from knowing there are so many victims and families who have been denied justice.
We all need to show that Ugandans still want meaningful, impactful policing reform. I know the responsible people are reading this. Let’s not fall short at this moment. Please work on it with determination and urgency.
I will stay hopeful and steadfast. We will get this done.

*PFT END-OF-YEAR 2021 PRESS STATEMENT*
*TIME TO PUSH BACK:*
As pointed out by the PFT since October 2021, our country is in a deep and intensifying crisis. A crisis that threatens the survival or sustenance of most Ugandans.
*HEALTH CRISIS:*
As the year comes to a close, the Health Sector crisis has escalated with the laying down of tools by all (medical) Interns and Senior House Officers. Form today, 10,000 Laboratory technicians, may have started their strike announced last week. This sharply worsens the shambolic state of healthcare, over which they’re protesting.
The demands of Healthcare workers, which mainly centre on their working conditions and poor facilities at their work places are very legitimate. Many have died of Covid19 due lack protection equipment. The situation hasn’t improved significantly and the victims haven’t been compensated either. Without motivating and protecting healthcare workers, they won’t deliver a good service even if they’re at their workplaces.
Uganda invests heavily (both public and private resources) in training medics that are being squandered. Uganda’s doctors continue to run out of the country; yet, we have one of the lowest number of doctors as compared to the population. Cuba has 1 doctor for 170 people, while Uganda’s 1 doctor is for 25,725 people!
Highly commercialised and poorly regulated training of healthcare workers is also promoting an output of substandard medics that put patients’ lives in danger.
The immense healthcare crisis needs urgent and comprehensive attention.
*EDUCATION CRISIS:*
The extent of the Education Sector crisis is beginning to crystallise as the long awaited reopening of schools approaches. Two weeks to the end of the year, the school calendar has still been a matter of speculation!
It’s increasingly clear that many private schools (which account for % of school capacity) were left to collapse under the burden imposed by lockdowns and many teachers have abandoned the profession. The impact of this on the whole education system is clearly very staggering.
With a highly diminished capacity of parents to afford the costs of their children's education, due to underlying poverty + impact of Covid19 lockdowns, most schools are escalating school dues; those who’d paid ahead of school closures will be required to pay again etc. No plan is in place to keep children in the education system during the severe challenges faced by the population.
It’s not clear up to now, how students from two academic years are going to be managed by schools! The attempted compact (catch-up) curriculum was abandoned half way; so, schools open without a plan.
Promotion of school children in Uganda’s school system ought to maintain some parity with other education systems in our region and internationally. Otherwise, our children will become substandard, inferior and incompatible with other systems.
No policy has been put in place to deal with the very many Covid19 lockdown child mothers. The numbers reported across the country clearly need a special program to manage the situation.
*LOCAL GOVERNMENTS BANKRUPT:*
Most Local Governments are mired in debt, bankrupt and highly dysfunctional. This means that the many vital services assigned to Local Governments (under 2nd Schedule, Local Govt Act) are absent.
*POST-COVID LOCKDOWN RECOVERY:*
Most countries provided RELIEF & RECOVERY economic packages to help people and companies get back to their feet.
For example: In Kenya, VAT was cut from 16% to 14%; Income Tax and Corporation Tax was reduced; lowered interest rates; cut electricity and fuel prices; seed capital provided for SMEs & micro-businesses; paid all unpaid government suppliers, VAT refunds etc; cash payouts to elderly and vulnerable members of society etc etc.
They adjusted salaries of top earners downwards; including for politicians.
In Uganda, this has been the exact opposite! Taxes are increased; fuel prices escalating and affecting all other prices; those owed by government not paid etc etc.
As a result, many business didn’t survive the lockdowns and many more are closing. Very many people can’t cope.
*INTENSIFYING REPRESSION, VIOLENCE AND INSECURITY:*
Repression and violence by State actors has been intensifying to muzzle the highly discontented population.
The countrywide curfew since March 2020 and its violent “enforcement” has been a political/ security tool more than a health control measure.
Police/Military using Curfew & Covid19 measures to extort money from poor ordinary people; Bodaboda riders, shop operators, market venders etc pay security officers to work beyond prescribed times.
Rising social and human insecurity is translating into escalating cases of su***de, domestic violence and violent crime.
*UPDF DEPLOYMENT TO DRC:*
UPDF deployment in the DRC is continuing in blatant violation of the Constitution and the Law. This was done while parliament was in session but up to now, Parliament hasn’t been informed what mission UPDF is undertaking in DRC and the legal basis of it. MONUSCO has already expressed fears regarding possible abuse of Human Rights by the UPDF.
Meanwhile, huge resources that are urgently needed to mitigate the above crises are being diverted to the war.
*KAYUNGA LOCAL GOVERNMENT BY-ELECTION:*
The use (with impunity) of the military and Security forces, money and other government resources to influence electoral processes has once again been demonstrated in Kayunga. This further underpins PFT’s position that elections par se won’t engender a democratic transition.
*CONCLUSION:*
As we come towards the close of 2021, it’s critical that we make resolutions individually and collectively regarding the actions we have to take to change the trajectory of our country.
*VITAL INTERVENTIONS ARE UNAVOIDABLE TO SAVE UGANDA’S ECONOMY AND SOCIAL SERVICES:*
Arising out of the deepening and widening national crises, it shouldn’t be business as usual in 2022. Special measures must be put in place urgently:
Special fund for all government and government-aided schools to allow all registered children to return and commence classes at reopening without payment.
Special fund for all registered private schools, which have been paying taxes, to enable them restart and have their fees regulated to enable parents take back their children.
Review teachers and non-teaching staff salaries upwards to correct the perennial underpayment, meet the cost of inflation and the heavy burden of covering two year work in one year.
Make provisions for child mothers to return to school, while looking after their babies.
Special fund for the urgent improvement of healthcare system- including facilities and supplies, working conditions and remuneration.
Review upwards all public sector workers’ remuneration, including for Police and Security Organisations, to reflect the rise in cost of living and mitigate the rampant rent-seeking.
Special Economic stimulus package that provides a reduction of the tax levels (including regulation of fuel prices); reduction of interest rates; direct recapitalisation of SMEs and micro-businesses; reduction of electricity and water charges; and policy that takes off burden of rent from locked down businesses; and to offer relief on bank loan interests accruing to locked down businesses.
Provide a special fund for all Local Governments, Cities and Urban Authorities to pay their debts and provide the badly needed essential services.
The immediate end of the 2-year curfew.
The immediate withdrawal of UPDF troops from DRC; while engaging MONUSCO and FARDC forces to service their mandate of dealing with ADF. To provide an accountability of the operation so far.
*FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE; PRIORITIES MUST CHANGE IMMEDIATELY:*
As announced by the IGG, Uganda is losing Shs 10 trillion annually to corruption; now officially shielded by Gen Museveni, who says they use the stollen money to invest in Uganda!
Wasteful and dubious expenditures; especially, through State House, amounting to trillions.
Wrong priorities- white elephant (ill-conceived) infrastructural projects; bloated political appointments etc.
Rationalising remuneration across the entire public service.
*CLARION CALL FOR PUSH BACK AGAINST MISRULE:*
The above urgent interventions are vital for the majority of Ugandans to survive and/or thrive.
The measures that affect our children’s education are necessary before the anticipated opening of schools on 10th January 2021.
If they haven’t been implemented by the end of the first week of January, we shall be addressing all the affected and concerned citizens on the actions we can, and should, collectively take to promote the necessary changes.
We’re going to accelerate our programs aimed at high preparedness of all Red Card activists to coordinate and guide the actions that will be necessary from the end of first week of January. Let’s all be ready to push back this chronic injustice.
*CHRISTMAS MESSAGE:*
The life and mission of Christ, whose birth all Christians celebrate this week, is relevant to the times our country is in today. Christ was born during the oppressive rule of the Roman Empire. Religious leaders had been corrupted and worked closely with the oppressive rulers; the Judges didn’t dispense justice but the will of the rulers and the people lived in fear of the rulers.
The ministry of Christ was about love and dignity for all; prioritising those weak and marginalised.
He was persecuted and killed on the Roman cross. Today, Christ has the largest number of followers in the world- about 2.5 billion! The Headquarters of the Roman Empire is the seat of the Pope.
The pursuit of justice and dignity for all our people should be inspired by the life and Ministry of Christ, whose birth we remember and celebrate this week. The terror and persecution we confront should confirm to us that we’re on the right path.
Let’s celebrate the birth and life of Christ, in spite of the terrible times we’re in. Best wishes for a Merry Christmas to all Ugandans from the Red Card Front.
It is not enough to say children should go back to school. Money must be provided for the children in public schools.
A special fund must be provided for private schools that have been paying taxes to the government. Schools have collapsed and must be supported. - Kizza Besigye
A leader is a reader. Uganda is not any different from what Aristotle stated.
It's actually those who benefit from Musevenis tyranny that would want him to rule for ever and ever
If you think you are safe, keep waiting. Uganda is on fire, but citizens are taking too long to put the fire off, thinking they are far away from it.
If you analyze the social-political situation of Uganda it is ironic.
𝐃𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.
He is still there because he understand greed very well.
By giving the 45.000.000 Ugandans the opportunity to fight over 532 MP positions (who live the lifestyle of the rich & famous) + hundreds of other low-paying LC positions, he gives them the illusion of freedom.
Every 5 years the brighest, most hard-working, best invididuals Uganda has to offer fight each other for one of those rare MP positions (for example, Stella Nyanzi vs Shamim Malende, instead of both working together against Museveni). Many must borrow 40.000 to 100.000 dollars to finance their campaigns. It is the only way in Uganda to be able to 'eat'. To eat means to thrive.
Since 2001 all national elections have been the same. Hopeful period before the elections. Limited targeted violence of the state before, during and after the elections to crack down on those that dared to protest. A lot of misinformation, bribery and trickery to rig the election in favour of Museveni. He has mastered the Dictators Handbook. All of those elections, 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016 and now 2021 he fooled Ugandans once again.
But what do Ugandans continue to say for the past 20 years? Maybe next time! Maybe next time we can vote better leaders.
My advise for 2022: boycott ALL elections.
Boycott parliament. Only focus on (peaceful) revolutions. Do not fall for the trap of 30% democracy in Uganda.
It is a tool of the 70% dictatorship to keep grasshoppers fighting for scraps.
Museveni is still in power as long as Ugandans keep taking the bait.
His bait? Elections.
Don't seat, it's time to join the health workers with any kind of support. Don't die silently, make an alarm and show Red Card to the oppressor
We are joining you soon!
The President of Uganda Nurses and Midwives Association of Uganda Cherop Justus warns.
All medical workers should unite and end injustices in the health sector in Uganda.
Congratulations Dr. Stella Nyanzi. Truly, you deserved the award.
So which scientists are supposed to receive salary rise?
AN INTERN'S TALE (just shared)
:::::::::::::::::::::::
By my 5th year of medicine I had decided that I would not proceed to do internship or even practice medicine, because the struggles of most of the doctors I was supposed to aspire to be like were easily noticeable from their clothes, means of transport, and housing, but most significantly from their shoes🥺!
I passively applied for internship and I was posted to Mulago Hospital, my first rotation was paediatrics. I never intended to report but decided to go walk through the ward 16C “just to see what’s up”. Little did I know that the previous lot were waiting for the new lot at the door to handover. I propbably looked a lot like a fresh graduate more than I thought, the outgoing intern held me by the hand from the entrance and presented me to the sister Incharge as the new guy and started briefing me about the 20+ children on the ward. Before he could run off, the SHO on duty entered the unit for a ward round and asked the outgoing intern to walk with us through the round for a proper hand over. By the end of the round, I had 3 femoral taps, 2 lumbar punctures, and 1 NG tube all of which I had only witnessed before. How I managed is not the matter though;
I didn’t know that on top of taking notes of all the ward proceedings It was me to get all forms of samples for the requested tests from the 20 plus’s patients, write the lab requests, physically walk across mulago hospital to deliver the samples to the lab, and also beg the lab to release the results.
I didn’t know that I was supposed to call the blood bank in Mulago and Nakasero using my little airtime to beg for blood for my patients on ward.
I didn’t know that when blood came through the hospital would lack blood giving sets, I didn’t know that my patient would fail to raise Ugx.3,000 to buy the blood giving set, that I would part with my transport back to Gayaza to sort the issue.
I didn’t know that the nurses were too tired to execute all doctors’ instructions, that I would end up placing cannulas on some of the patients and run the required fluids as recommended.
I didn’t know that one of the kids would deteriorate with only clueless me on the unit, that I had to execute instructions on the phone while the SHO came back to the ward.
I didn’t know that one patient would consume 4 hours of our day with the SHO trying to stabilize.
I didn’t know that one of the parents would run away and abandon the baby on the ward for my colleague and I to co-parent for day.
In a flash, the clock had moved from 8am to 9pm, no rest, no lunch, no idea how I was to go back to Gayaza. That night, I shared a room (read store) at the intern’s mess on the floor above the New Mulago hospital complex, with a colleague in the same rotation. While I was pi**ed at the deficiencies in the system, I had some level of satisfaction that I had sorted out most of the issues and the patients were okay. I took a shower, washed my undies😁 high school style, walked to Wandegeya for Rolex in the same clothes and slept off later.
The next day in the same very clothes 🤦🏾 we stormed the ward at about 7am. Haaaa…. inspite of the hustle the previous day, we were in trouble! The supervisor came in earlier and went straight to the patient who had deteriorated the previous day and we had not scribbled all the notes of what transpired. Everything we claimed to have done was not on file 🤦🏾, that aside, there was a patient we never reviewed in the evening because we were exhausted and knew the kid was stable. The patient deteriorated in the night!! Day 2 was twice as busy and twice as hard, day 3 and all the days after it never got any better, I had to send someone to get me clothes from home because there was never time to go home by day 3. A man who never intended to show up for internship only went back home after 7 days.
This is nothing compared to our 2 weeks at the Acute Care Unit!!!!
Issues of medical interns are neither a political debate nor an English speaking contest!

THE RED CARD SWARM LEADERSHIP TRAINING DAY TWO;
The two day program is done today Friday. A program that started yesterday progressed to it's second day with different talking points to help youths understand basic principles to use in the fight towards a free, fair and Democratic Uganda.
Under the theme: Realizing the purpose for Transition through civil action; the training gave more insights on the political history, good governance, Multi Party Politics and a transitional governance in Uganda and the main focus as emphasized by Hon. Toterebuka Bamwenda Boniface (walking encyclopedia) was on understanding your enamies, appreciate the fact that we are in a dictatorship, and follow the history critically.
The discussion also brought forth that fact that no one should ever think that the world is aware of the on going injustices, "SHOUT AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE TO INFORM", as stated by the Lord Mayor Hon. Erius Lukwago (Deputy Chairperson PFT). He says, no one is bothered by your silence, but your noise can cause an impact sooner or later.
Mr. Kaija Harold was very clear on communication. He enlightened the listeners about effective communication other than just talking.
The youth were further advised to listen more from valued speakers, read alot of literature to be informed, talk straight to the issue, understand when to use non verbal communication, and more.
The youths shall continue with such training across the country, but most importantly, mobilisation shall continue at all levels.
I want to thank members from JEEMA, FDC, DP, UYD, CP, ANT,NUP, and DP-Bloc who graced the leadership training. Keep your eyes on the ball, concentrate and make sure detractors are given minimum or no time.

PFT LEADERSHIP TRAINING AT JEEMA OFFICES
The youth wing (Swarm) of the PFT is having a two days training. The team of leaders is under going a process of refreshing and energizing their ability to confront a dictator.
The training was spear head by the PFT chairman Dr. Kizza Besigye(FDC), and other leaders Mr. Lubega Mukaku(DP-Bloc), Hon. Ken Lukyamuzi(CP), Dr. Bakandonda Wycliffe(FDC) and Mr. Osinde (PPP).
The youthful leaders were taken through a number of issues, but most importantly "RIGHT LEADERS ACHIEVE ALOT IN A SHORT TIME". This guidance as made by PFT chair lad to anumber of insights.
The leader were guided to be creative, assertive and understand other revolutions, continue to mobilise youths and women to embrace a positive idea of change.
Youths were advised to positively use their energy and secure their future through being part of the development agenda.
This training also highlighted on the enamies of democracy being ignorance, moral poverty which has led to buy offs and co-opt programs, media propaganda, over throw of constitution.
Youths were told to define the mission clearly. This mission should be part of their DNA and never misrepresent it. This would help to understand the dynamics of the revolution. So as a team, you have to decide to be either violent or non violent. As PFT,it's non violent and there is no doubt on that.
On a more serious note, leaders were given insights on how to detect detractors/spy's and advised to stay focused and fight to reconstruct the broken state either passively or actively, build leadership organisational capacity, be honest to your inner self to know your abilities and inabilities.
We welcome the members of the all political parties that did come for the leadership training. Apart from NRM, the PFT training attracted members from all political parties
