Do we, as Uganda, have what it takes to satisfy this description?

Infectious diseases are caused by organisms, such as bacteria, viruses, parasites or fungi. The diseases can be spread, directly or indirectly, from one person to another.
@5 will help equip you with knowledge from the various presentations on how to prevent these diseases.
Health systems in low and middle-income countries continue to face considerable challenges in providing high-quality, affordable and universally accessible care. In response, policy-makers, donors and programme implementers are searching for innovative approaches to eliminate the geographic and financial barriers to health. This has resulted in mounting interest in the potential of e-health (the use of ICT for health) and m-health (the use of mobile technology for health, a subset of e-health) in low- and middle-income countries.
To what extent will e- and m-health (henceforth referred to simply as e-health) help address the challenges faced by resource-constrained health markets in terms of the availability, quality and financing of health care?

Did you know that;
Approximately 810 women die every day from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth?
Undernutrition is associated with 45% of child deaths?
The world now has more young people than ever before – of the 7.2 billion people worldwide, over 3 billion are younger than 25 years, making up 42% of the world population. Around 1.2 billion of these young people are adolescents aged between 10 and 19 years?

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) happens when microorganisms (such as bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites) change when they are exposed to antimicrobial drugs (such as antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals, antimalarials, and anthelmintics).
As a result, the medicines become ineffective and infections persist in the body, increasing the risk of spread to others.
AMR is an increasingly serious threat to global public health that requires action across all government sectors and society.
JISSC is giving you an opportunity to know what the Health Care community in Uganda is doing to address this!!

Subtheme: Students training in SDGs era.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (or Global Goals for Sustainable Development, the 17 Global Goals[1], the Global Goals[2] or simply the Goals"[3]) are a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. The SDGs are part of Resolution 70/1 of the United Nations General Assembly[4]: "Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development." That has been shortened to "2030 Agenda."[5] The goals are broad and interdependent, yet each has a separate list of targets to achieve. Achieving all 169 targets would signal accomplishing all 17 goals. The SDGs cover social and economic development issues including poverty, hunger, health, education, global warming, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice.[6]
Paragraph 54 of the United Nations General Assembly Resolution A/RES/70/1 of 25 September 2015 contains the goals and targets.[7] The UN-led process involved its 193 Member States and global civil society. The resolution is a broad intergovernmental agreement that acts as the Post-2015 Development Agenda. The SDGs build on the principles agreed upon in Resolution A/RES/66/288, entitled "The Future We Want".[8] This was a non-binding document released as a result of Rio+20 Conference held in 2012.[8]
Implementation as of 2016 is described as "Localizing the SDGs" to highlight the role of local institutions and local actors.[9] Regional efforts included agreements like the Baltic 2030 Action Plan[10]. Some remain pessimistic about the potential for achieving the SDGs, especially because of estimates of the cost of achieving all 17.[9] However, progress had been reported by 2018. For example, fewer African children under the age of 5 are suffering from stunting and wasting. However, the same study concluded that it is unlikely there will be an end to malnutrition by 2030.[11]
You can learn more or teach people more about the SDGs .. Endeavour to attend the JISSC 2019
