Studio rentals for 2024 !

I will be opening up end of December and all of January for reservations today!
I will be on vacation 12/25 through 01/07!

We are going to try switching to all online booking and payments to make it easier on those of you who live outside of Abilene / work full time and don’t have the availability to text❤️

I would hate to leave you hanging due to the four hour time difference.

RATES:
•Main studio space only: $20/hour
•Studio + prop room access: $40/hour
*side note, my assistant(s) should be in to help put the prop room back together after this whirlwind of a fall 😅
•Dresses are included with the prop room rental rates.
^The only time there is an additional charge for dresses is if they need to leave the studio. The rate varies by dress brand.
•Props are always available to rent out daily but during my vacation I will need to know in advance so my momager can help you 🥰. They are usually $5 to $10.

Accidentally added six Christmas colored maternity dresses to my cart, typed in my card info, and confirmed the order.

If you have maternity in December and need a red, green, or white dress, they will start arriving Saturday into early next week 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

ETA: if you book the studio and add the prop room, there is no extra charge for using dresses during your rental time! Your $40/hour covers dresses

If you need to rent it for an outdoor session, they are $50 to rent (most end up having to be cleaned after going outside because the trains are so long)

The tiniest high chair!
We used this today for a first birthday but it took some strategic angling to get baby in and out.

This is probably a better fit for sitters in the 6-9 month range.
I would say as long as baby can hold up their head alone it’s safe.

For newborns baby MUST be sleeping.

Hey photographers🖤

This is my favorite computer, and now you have access to it when you rent the space out. It is already connected to wifi so that you can select the photographer account and hop onto Google/Pinterest/social media for help with posing ideas or whatever you need during your rental times.

I’m so excited to share this with you and hope that it helps you grow and create!

It’s almost time for me to flip the plain white corner of the studio for Christmas!

Hey Renters!

Would you benefit from having access to a desktop computer for posing, education, or showing clients their images at the studio?

I have a 5k 27inch iMAC with Retina display but have been consistently editing from my MacBook over the last year and am considering bringing it in to share.

If you need to rent the studio for your holiday mini sessions, I recommend checking your preferred dates soon! Weekends are filling up as we move into the final months of the year :)

Hi All!

I forgot to announce that I am out of office today and the duration of the weekend for a private family matter 🫶🏻 if I miss your messages it’s because my phone is either on silent or do not disturb but I will do my best to get back with you on time sensitive matters!

I will be out of office most Fridays during fall football season.

Please plan to pick up reserved props on Thursdays with returns on Monday.

For studio access on Fridays, please make arrangements for a key pick up any day prior.

A few days ago, I decided I wanted a whitewashed brick backdrop. I reached out to my SIL and was like hey, white bricks, some greenery, and the wooden school desks?! Then we got to work 💪🏼

Today, it is installed and officially ready to use 😩

We could have ordered the fabric drop but something about working hard and having a space full of texture and dimensions makes me feel like the possibilities of our craft and endless.

I wanted that downtown feel from the safety (and let’s be honest- the AIR CONDITIONING) of the studio.

I can’t wait to take some back to school photos with it and I am so excited to see what you guys choose to use it for! 🫶🏻

HAYDEN BED

This Hayden bed is one of the larger beds available in the studio. (I'll add measurements to these posts at a later date.)

If you're still learning how to wrap or using a regular swaddle, this would be a great option for you!

I have a feeling it is going to be well loved for newborns/sitters/ milestones/ birthdays thanks to the generous size. The second one arrived early last week so that if one is rented out, there is a back up in the studio!

This new Farmhouse Bed is so versatile!

Elani is 5 weeks old and Emersyn is 1 year old.

E-mails have gone out with updated studio rates, rules, and policies!

We may be able to bring in 2-3 new photogs, if interested drop your email or send a message to get a copy of the email sent your way.

Online booking is next because I know I have been in an unreachable season this summer and want to be sure you have access AND confidence your spot is booked when you need it!

Great for newborns / Milestones and flipped upside down to be used for independent sitters.

If you’ve been needing to practice learning your camera or have a friend willing to model, this would be an awesome opportunity for you!

Studio rental arrangements do need to be made prior to Wednesday to ensure I can leave you with a key and instructions.

And props can be rented today and tomorrow and will be a week-ish rental for the day rates.

I put so much love and hard work into creating this space and everything is so easy to see and access now!

I also installed two shop lights to brighten the room because it was DARK in there before.

I’ve put a ton of money into this for us, and I can wait for you to see it 🤩

Why remodel the prop room?

Well #1) I hated the gray paint in there 🤣

*and I reallllyyy debated on sharing but here we go:

The photos below are direct results of people not respecting the space or the props. All of these items in the studio have been paid for out of my very own pockets and many of them are irreplaceable as they’re no longer made or available in stores/online.

Some items are vintage and passed down from their original owners with stories. We can’t replace that history.

My favorite cake plate was cracked in half, (white with gold rim), items were dumped out of their storage boxes and not returned, and different bamboo props now have damage from being left out of their homes. A bed is missing from the newborn inventory. Aaaanddd one of my friends has had to clean up after the renter before her more than once and that’s simply not okay.

Sharing this place and these props with you is important to me so please take care of them. The remodel is a reset for everyone and a second chance 🖤

The new layout of the prop room will encourage everyone to put things back the way that they found them and will be locked if you are renting only the main space without prop room access. (YES, this is a new option!!!🤗)

•Out of Office•

Hi friends!
We have an ongoing family emergency at this time and our homes are filled with out of town guests.

During this time we will have a very relaxed return policy and will be extending rentals beyond the usual 24 hour / weekends at the day rental prices.

In addition the a/c is still down in the studio so hourly rentals for studio time are recommended in the morning and evenings and will be discounted!
