Abilene KS rocks
A place to share your painted rock creations, and finds.Keep your finds, or re-hide them. ?
Post your painted rocks!
Kay Lewis Schwartz got sappy on me leading up to my final day here at Tammy Walker Cancer Center tomorrow. She shared a rock with me not knowing painting rocks has been a thing I have been known to enjoy😊. So I gave her one too.
This is to remind me of her and this place. I need no reminders though. ICT Area ROCKS! Deserves some special credit for creating a rock to send me back to WA with.
Thank you for the memories.

Keeping it fun. We are using self sealing acrylic paint. I wish I knew about this stuff from the get go.
Embracing the cozy time indoors, but secretly looking forward to the first signs of Spring.
Spring is near. Daffodils and crocus are always among the first to greet us. Just got to seal them, and get them out in the world for others to find.
Warms my heart.
Trick or Treat

The back of our rocks look a little something like this, but please know you can put the same hashtag on yours too. All our rocks can be posted and shared here.

I wanted to share that you can purchase bags of smooth Caribbean rocks at Lowes for under $13(I think it’s 30lbs). Sure beats spending $25 on 10 online.
One of these is placed to be found in Old Abilene Town.
Find it, keep it, leave it, or re-hide it
I wanted to share a new discovery. I had no idea they made self-sealing, weather/fade resistant acrylic outdoor paint.
I should have mentioned my rock painting to my Aunt sooner. Turns out my other rocks did in fact fade, chip, and yellow in the elements.
This is the brand I bought.
My daughter found a rock today! So happy to see people putting out painted rocks.
Keep your eyes open for these hidden gems! Thank you to the artist!
