This was my afternoon group. They would finish the project each day and then play with Molly's scraps of fabric. They loved their last assignment to make a bear stuffie. They were able to design the faces and clothes all on their own. The middle one has a zipper in his back!

We included a quilting project! The girls quilted an 8 inch square and installed a zipper. Then they turned it into a zipper bag. Several really liked quilting!

These girls are going to sleep well on their new super fancy pillowcases! What makes them fancy, you ask? Not only does it have a contrasting trim, but it has French seams! Ooo, la, la!

Sewing Camp 2022 has made everyone smile. Look at those bright books!

On Monday, the kids sewing class made zipper pouches. We learned how to use a zipper foot and turn our bags.

We had SEW much fun making Valentines skirts and Star Wars shorts in class today.

Valentine Earrings have kept me busy during the snow days. I have four pairs available: 2 blush, black and red. Let me know if you'd like a pair.

I've been having fun with my embroidery machine. I love ❤️ these earrings.

I tried the new toweling fabric from The Oaks Quilt shop. I like the way these turned out.

Colin, my 3 y/o wears his dad's homemade 🦸‍♂️ Superman cape all the time. He asked for one with a "C" and since he is going to be a Super Worker-man, I thought a 🦺Men-at-Work sign with the tools of the trade would be appropriate.

By the way, this is for Christmas. Shhhh....

Our Partridge in a 🍐 tree Christmas ornaments were fun. The girls learned basic running stitch, back stitch, whip stitch and French knots. They all said they prefer the machine 😂.

Monday's sewing class is making 12 days of Christmas ornaments. This is our first foray into using patterns. We will also learn some basic hand stitching, but of course, we will use our machines, too. Yay!

My nephew asked for a red archer's hood for his birthday. This was a really fun project. I designed it and created it in two days. I hope he likes it.

Last week my awesome students made bags. Some were book bags and some were trick or treat bags. They have been so much fun to teach.

Lately I have been working on a secret project, so here is something else I did today. Colin and I made Monster Chip Cookies. We ate them while reading Boot and Shoe by Marla Frazee and Word Collector by Peter H. Reynolds. I highly recommend both!

I get sewing requests all the time (curtains, hem pants, make a circus 🎪) but I think the 2021 request for a 🐝 and 🐢 mask may take the 🎂. 😜

Cute boy clothes are hard to find. I thought this Simplicity pattern was so cute. I happen to know that big brother has navy gingham shorts. I love the way this turned out.
