Hi Friends!
First, I want to thank each of you who have made Ely’s Easel what it is today. Without you, there would be less color in backyards, rooms and weddings. You see, most of the posts that have been coming your way all this time have been spear headed by friends who became clients and many clients that I am now blessed to call friends. Some projects have been crazy challenging or just make me smile and laugh like the “You’re my lobster” piece that was completed earlier this week.

With that being said, I need to make it perfectly clear that this is a business. Because of the lack of courtesy from some, of you are a new client, I will be asking for 50% deposit prior to any work commencing. I just can no longer pop on a new client’s FB, see that they are a mutual friend with someone that I know and trust and get to work. Within the past 2 months, I have completed a few projects based on messages only to have my returning message ignored. That’s time and material that I cannot get back.

For everyone that’s been my biggest cheerleaders, it’s business as usual!

Sorry to be Debbie Downer today, but us small business peeps gotta do what we gotta do.

For us, we are setting our intentions to purging, cleaning, reorganizing and keeping ourselves above the wellness line!
The first project of the new year is in the books and we are so happy we broke the ice with getting the wellness keepers (our Young Living essential oils) organized and within reach for easy access.
With the exception of the hardware that was purchased to hang all the things, every single detail is repurposed. The shelves, thankful sign & Proverbs quote are reclaimed barn wood that Craig brought home from a remodel a few years ago. The snowman was a left over piece of wood from our basement. The wooden box, mason and apothecary bottles are salvaged from Craig’s Grandparent’s home.
With this mixture of old and new, we are putting our best forward for the year. We are excited for what’s to come and share what’s in store for the year!

Well, friends, we are once upon our time to plan for the holidays and get our Sparkly selves together! I am officially opening up ordering for this year's custom orders for ornaments. Just like last year, they will range from $12-$17 each depending on the level of details you want on the ornament. I will have 2 types of ornaments this year, traditional round or disc (the disc will be about 3 inches in diameter). I will close out ordering for all ornaments on Wednesday, November 22. Orders will only be accepted through messaging Ely's Easel via messenger. Leaving a comment with your order will only be lost in the shuffle.

So, when you message me, this is what I will need from you:
Your name
Sphere or disc ornament
Color glitter
What you want painted on the ornament.
Please double check any spelling/year before you submit it as this is what I will be working off of for every order.
Once your order is received, I will let you know the price of each ornament and an approximate completion time.

With a change in the seasons, it is definitely time for a change and switch in gears.

My partner in crime/ hubby/ master co****le builder has been blessed with a windfall of opportunity with his business. With this blessing comes little or no time to craft co****le boards and enjoy life with our kiddos at the same time. So, for now, corn holes will be taking a back seat for Ely's Easel. We want to thank each and every one of you for allowing us to take your back yards and tailgating to a higher level!

As the seasons change, we do, too. I am going to continue to post projects that you, my personal cheering section, have come to expect. Something that will put a smile on your face and maybe give you inspiration for a project in your home or for a gift for a loved one. I truly appreciate this platform you have given me to start sharing another aspect of our home that we have been loving hard over the past year and a half. In this, we have grown in good health and emotional well being. We are sleeping better, ditching toxins and just making our little world a better place to live. Some of the posts will feature pieces that you have ordered and some will be something that I just felt needed to be created and will be available to you. Side by side, I will share something that may be new to you from Young Living. It may be a quick tip on how we clean up after an afternoon of painting or how we thrive through the school year when cooties are running amuck! I'm truly looking forward to the next chapter for Ely's Easel and I can't wait to share what I have up my sleeve!

Good morning friends! I hope this post finds you all well as we begin the last full week of July. Honestly, I can't' believe August is almost here. It's been a great summer so far with family and friends and we are looking forward to even more adventures before the kiddos head back to school.
I'm so excited to share the latest project, one that was months in the making. In seven weeks, a sleepaway camp in NY will be transformed into Camp Jasey where the bride and groom will be welcoming their loved ones for a fun filled wedding weekend. Guests will be welcomed each morning with a list of activities written on the 48x36 chalkboard and I'm sure there will be plenty of co****le tournaments thanks to the 3 sets that are adorned with a custom logo just for the wedding. Once it's reception time, guests will find their seat easily with placecards that will be hung with care. I cannot wait to see the end result once my friend A.C. Gets her creative hands on it.

Happy Summer one and all! Hope your days are full of sunshine! It's been quiet here on this page only because I'm balancing a number of things: the dynamic duo (my kiddos) are on break and are having the best summer with their friends, completing a huge wedding order and managing my growing Young Living business. I'm having a blast but miss sharing my projects!
Here are just 2 pieces for the wedding that are almost complete. All that's missing are the ribbons so they can hang on the bride and groom's chairs.

Friends! I hate to do this, but I have received the maximum number of orders we can deliver in a timely manner for now. Everyone who is confirmed has gotten confirmation via messenger.

After thousands and thousands of stitches and probably enough yarn to wind around the earth 🌏 and then some, I have decided to officially hang up the crochet hook for profit.
I realized about 1/2 way through this last project that the passion for it was no longer there. And that weighed heavy on my heart. You see, my Grandmom was a master with the hook and I learned the skill when I was expecting Chase, long after she passed. I was able to make a 'yockie" for him and then a "yaya" for my daughter. From there, I stumbled into a home based biz that allowed me to be home with my babies. I was able to balance crochet and painting and many opportunities opened up from there with local shops and then the Philly Home Shows. The scale has tipped to painting and I just need and want to give it the attention it deserves. I also want to still love doing crochet projects for the special people in my life and to also pay it forward.
To all of you out there who have worn one of my hats or wrapped yourself in a blanket, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Onto the next chapter!
