Although we can’t take a nap after every stressful situation (we’ll talk about sleeping as a coping mechanism another day, I don’t wanna expose myself to much lol) there are some ways you can rest and recharge when your day starts getting a little rough.

And I honestly think it’s possible. Now have I reached that level yet?? Not at all lol but that’s one of the goals I’m working on daily.

I have to remind myself that I don’t have to wait till I’m overworked to give myself a break. And that I should be taking some time to pour into myself daily.

When you take your shower/bath use that time to meditate, release your thoughts and feelings, encourage yourself, talk to God, repeating affirmations etc. These little things can help you feel refreshed, balanced, and at peace ✨🤍

Do you ever feel like you’re trying so hard to reach your goals but nothing is going right?? This is your reminder to rest, reset, and REFOUS.

Sometimes we just need to take a step back relax then come back with a clear mind to move forward.

I have to constantly remind myself that even when it doesn’t seem like I’m making any progress God’s plan is unfolding exactly how he wants it. I have to remember to not be so hard on myself and to enjoy the process ✨

Truth is…

A lot of us get so wrapped up in wanting a “luxury lifestyle” that we don’t even realize that we treat luxury items better than we treat ourselves.

Think about it.. we set boundaries for things we think are valuable, we make sure they are up kept , we show them off, and depending on the item we even have to do research to know how to maintain it.

Now think about how you treat yourself

Are you setting boundaries and maintaining them?

Are taking the time to up keep yourself? And not just pampering yourself but taking care of your mind, body, and spirit?

Are you being kind to yourself? Avoiding and redirecting negative self talk? Uplifting yourself?

Have you taken the time to do research on yourself? Getting to know yourself better, learning about your strengths, weaknesses, triggers etc.

That is what treating yourself like luxury really looks like.

It’s not just indulging in nice things. It’s doing the necessary work to evolve into a better you!
