Rant! All I have to say about the USEF fiasco with Katie Prudent teaching the jumper youth is that nothing even remotely similar happened in the delivery of the instruction to the dressage youth who were riding on the same grounds at the same time! Inexcusable for an instructor. These are “horsemanship” clinics. Horsemanship is about developing skills that encompass empathy and love for the horse as well as technique! Good horsemanship happens cross discipline. Shame on her!!!

Each day, we love this bridle more and more!

We have put it on numerous horses and absolutely love it on all colors!

Had a fun first day of competition yesterday with Pam Heglund winning the 3-3 AA warm up class out of 24 competitors! Julia and Lenny schooled beautifully and begin competition on Saturday. Haley Hyska and Zalsa arrived safely and settled in well. Autumn Vavrick and Santo also arrived and settled in. We planned to school last night but were foiled by a big storm so instead we all gathered for dinner at the large VRBO where some of us are staying. Such a fun way to start the show!

So excited for the USDF Region 2 Jr/Yr clinic! Julia and Autumn were chosen to particpate this year, and will be riding the next 2 days with George Williams,, the USEF dressage youth coach. Santo and Lenny arrived today, and schooled beautifully. We are excited for the girl's rides the rest of the weekend!

The first day of spring marks a fresh beginning!

Whitney was able to teach her first small clinic since her accident in December! It was been a long road, but we are so happy to be on the other side!

She is looking forward to scheduling more small clinics in the weeks to come, and is very excited to be back to regular teaching as well!

Congratulations to 2021 Carolyn Van Cise Memorial Sportsmanship Fund Grant recipient Josephine Shelton of Tustin, MI.

Josephine trains with Laurie Moore in Ada, MI, and plans to use her grant funding to train with Olympian Jacquie Brooks of Canada. Josephine is a member of All Dressage Association (A.D.A.).

"I am very thankful that this grant will allow me access to training and education that I never would have been able to afford otherwise,” said Josephine. “I look forward to putting the lessons learned into my daily training of my horses and share them with others who ride dressage.”
