I created this page not only to share my baked goods but also share recipes I have tried that I do or don’t like!

Hence the “Cooking” in Kala Kole’s Crafts and Cooking

So I wanted to share something new I tried yesterday!

I really enjoy growing herbs as well as reading about the dual benefits they have!

Did you know most of the herbs you put on your food have medicinal value??

Now maybe not the bottled stuff from the store as much 😅😉

BUT

Oregano, Thyme, Basil, etc. have SO many properties that benefit your body.

I grow quite the variety.

So, I harvested some of my basil, oregano, and thyme and tried something new: Pesto

It has already been toddler approved! I mixed some with her tomato sauce on noodles and she didn’t even notice

I probably could have used a better quality olive oil but means this was my first batch, I didn’t want to invest too terrible much

I used the recipe in this book pg 56-57 as my base line (I never follow recipes to a T🤣)
I added salt and only used my own homegrown “culinary” herbs!
I also omitted the hard cheese

Made on an oreo crust with homemade whipped topping! 👩🏻‍🍳

I dont overly love peanut butter or Reese’s but this cheesecake is the perfect mix of peanut butter and chocolate with out being TOO much 👌🏻
