*DOG OWNERS*

Be mindful of what your dog uses for a chew toy. The 24 volts on these wires gives a tingling sensation if touched when current is flowing through them. That’s the only reason I could think of as to why the dogs didn’t chew all the way though. However, the current flowing through the hot legs coming into the system will do a lot more damage to your dogs and potentially kill them.

The customer sent me a picture of the thermostat. So, it gave me a basis on where to start troubleshooting. I replaced the wires and ran them through 3/4’ PVC.

Discovered this. So iceeeeey 🥶

Customer stated that her unit has been running all day. Also noticed a spike in her electric bill.

I put my gauges on to show her how high the head pressure was running on the unit. I also took the panels off to show her the reasons why the unit has been running nonstop and why she has seen an increase on her bill. I deep cleaned her unit, bringing the head pressure down, and changed the filters. It's breathing so much better.

Having a dirty condenser coil such as this will cause the unit to work harder to achieve maximum efficiency. This shortens the life of the compressor...the heart beat of the system. Which in turn, shortens the life of the unit.

If your unit is struggling to reach cooler temps, this could be one of the reasons why. Give That Bush Boy Heating & Air a call 706-483-1568 and schedule a cleaning TODAY!!!

Tip for homeowners:

If you allow a HVAC technician to put STOP-LEAK W/ DYE into your AC system, make sure they schedule a follow up appointment with you to:

1. See where the dye leaked out
2. See if the leak was stopped
3. See if the leak can be repaired

Refigerant is expensive. There's no 100% guarantee that it will work. However, the smaller the leak, the greater are the chances of it be stopped. Having your AC recharged every year costs more than having the leak repaired or having the leaking part replaced.

Ultimately it's your decision and your money.

What rain?? 👀👀

Customer’s contactor burnt due to wires touching. That also caused the wires going to the compressor to short as well, which tripped the breaker.

Installed a compressor kit, new contactor, and capacitor. The unit calls for a 60/3 capacitor. I didn’t have one in the truck so, I had to use a 60/5 in series with a 7.5 capacitor which brings it down to a 3 😎

She’s back in business.
