Our 4-H Fair Events for Tuesday, July 23rd are here! Join us at 10am for a tour of the Fair Grounds perfect for anyone new to Fair or 4-H! At 4:00pm we'll have a fun for all-ages craft that goes along with our Fair theme "a dino-mite time". Finally, join us at 4:30pm for Kids Yoga with Andria D'amato It's going to be a dino-mite time!

Congratulations to our Summit County 4-H State Fair nominees! These 4-Hers were recognized at yesterday's award ceremony for their outstanding project work and will soon be traveling to Columbus to compete against youth from around the state! Wish them luck!!!

Our major fundraiser for the year is coming up this weekend at the University of Akron football team’s home opener! Half of the proceeds of each ticket will go to the Summit County 4-H program and be used to help fund the introduction of the county 4-H Advisory Board. Another sincere thank you to JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores for their generous donation! Yesterday, we brought over 500 yards of fabric down to the Ohio State Fair Clothing Days judging. 4-H members had the opportunity to take home 4 yard bundles of fabric after the first day of judging. Congratulations to everyone who competed yesterday, and good luck to all of those at the state level today🍀! Pictured below are 4-H members from across the state modeling their projects with their new fabric!

Also, a huge thank you to OSU Extension - Portage County for their wonderful 4-H volunteers who helped us with cutting, rolling, and packing this fabric!

A big shoutout to the Summit County Fairgrounds for allowing us to host our and over the past week! The youth all had a phenomenal time and were able to participate in a number of valuable learning experiences throughout the week. Another big thank you to all of the volunteers, both youth and adults, that donated their time to making this a rich and worthwhile experience for all of our campers. Looking forward to another round next year and next stop, Fair!!
