Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Kwanzaa Celebration today. However, we still wanted to provide information on how you can celebrate Ujamaa!!

Today marks day four of Kwanzaa. This day represents the principle of Ujamaa or cooperative economics.

The Ujamaa Market aims to combat the low success rate for minorities in business by creating an opportunity for business development. Our market is founded on the principles: Familyhood and Economic Development. We will continue to help build and maintain our own stores, shops, and other businesses.

Some ways to practice Ujamaa include buying from Black-owned businesses, banking with Black-owned banks, and even participating in a savings club with your friends and family.

We would like to thank everyone who attended our market last Saturday! We were able to giveaway 50 turkeys to attendees and vendors. Our market continues to grow and we’re excited to see what the future holds. We had 17 vendors showcase their products and we ended our day with an amazing performance by Sincerely Donnie . Thank you to the Boys & Girls Club and Global for making all of this possible! We look forward to working with everyone again at our markets on November 27th and 28th.
